Well, if you are hungry for a fallout "mmo" there's Fonline 2238, played around on it about 3 or so years ago, still up and running as far as i can tell, but yeah, it's ridiculously "hardcore" from what I can remember.

I was going for the reference more then anything. But a lot of the time, its due to how Bioware often gives you nothing but stupidity in certain options, essentially railroading/forcing you into situations no matter what you choose, just to push the train whereever they want it to go.

at least i got the reference. lol. actually i never noticed those moments..then again i am really engrossed in the story usually or just having too much fun to care.
It's one of those things you might not notice until you play a game which doesn't do it. Then you suddenly feel cheated that the stupid PC can't work out YOUR obvious solution. I know I don't normally notice these things until I play Skyrim or New Vegas for a bit then go back to them and suddenly feel frustrated at the lack of choice.

OT: I want to know what happened! Been interested in this MMO for a while and the settlement just comes out of nowhere...here's hoping BethSoft...

fallout runs on atmosphere. mmos cant handle atmosphere. i for one was happy they were in court. that meant there is going to be no mmo for a while at least.

Yeah ive have supported Bethesda 100% during this whole Fallout debacle. I hope they kicked Interplay to the curb. Interplay is garbage they cant make anything half decent anymore so they just want to leech off of someone else's(Bethesda) success.

I dont want Fallout to be a MMO anyway, doesnt feel right. I do however think the next one should have much more content. I am getting sick of the Fallout method of cutting 100-150 hours of content and spreading it over 4-5 DLC packs. Does no one else see this but me?

Anyway Im sure Bethesda is working on their next Fallout title as we speak. Seeing as how when Production wrapped on Fallout 3 they started working on Skyrim. Heres hoping they top themselves again :D

Does anyone here know how Masthead is doing financially? I haven't heard much about Earthrise since it's release, but then I don't really follow MMOs. If Masthead is hurting it's possible Interplay doesn't feel the game can be finished, and in that situation returning the MMO license and accepting cash they could put towards smaller projects would make a lot of sense.

That would be a shame given the work that has been completed on this, and if Interplay returns the license I'm skeptical they can salvage the project. Masthead already has one post-apocalyptic MMORPG, and while working on a second with the Fallout brand made some sense, working on a second with a brand new setting seems unlikely.
