i really just want to fly around firebombing somewhere like Morrowind on a dragon whilst wearing flaming armour wielding a sword made of shadows and death.
is that too much to ask? is it, really? even just the dragon firebombing.

Am I the only one who even cared that some of the dragons can talk? It looks like the answer is yes. So I'll just say this: THE DRAGONS CAN TALK. That outta be pretty cool no? I mean, what's scarier than a big thing that's also intelligent?

Give one a Sean Connery voice Bethesda. Just give us that golden Easter egg.

Just a thought. If all of the people in the game can die, and due to radiant AIi you will end up with one character giving all the quests, What will happen when you murder the entire population of skyrim and are left with unlimited dragons roaming the desecrated lands.....

As long as they're pretty hard to encounter I don't mind.
Some actual hunting would be awesome.

...Endless dragons?

Sounds bad, man. <<

I mean, like, boring. Hunting implies there is a finite amount which you have to track and kill, making it a special thing if you kill a leathery-hided spawn of satan. Making them, like, cows makes it almost stupid...

Hmm...does the Dragons appearing only happen after a certain plot point? Or right from the start? Cause if its right from the start...pacifist/commoner plays may be...scary.
This is SKYRIM motha fukka! Ain't no pacifict vikings, son! Here's an axe! There's the dragon! Rend its loins for your meal to gain it's power!

*Ahem*

Sorry, I...I-I don't know what came over me. xD

"Howard also explained why it had taken so long for dragons to appear in an Elder Scrolls game. He said that dragons had become something of a cliché in fantasy games, and it was something that Bethesda had decided not to do them just for the sake of it. He said that the studio had decided that Skyrim was the right game, and the right setting, for dragons to make their Elder Scrolls debut, but that it wanted to handle them like a Jurassic Park game might handle dinosaurs."

There was a dragon in Redguard, which came out in 1998, so Skyrim isn't their debut. You'd think Todd Howard would know about his own company's games.

Can I get a amen? This would be especially cool if you could ride the dragon, and the dragon had it's own train of thought and ideas...alignment...morales..etc... For example:

Character: Hey dragon wanna go fight that big evil daedra monster?
Dragon: Nah...we can do that tommorrow, lets go drink wine and smoke random alchemical items to see what happens...

Sorry to burst everyone's beloved dragon-riding bubble, but the game comes out in 5 months. If they haven't started work on something as important as that by now, then it probably isn't going to be a major part of the game, if at all.
Try 7. And if other mounts are in the game, then it would be as easy as adding simple flight mechanics.
Maybe. Also, Skyrim comes out on 11/11/11. SIx months. How do we both get that wrong?

I hope they make them very rare as well, otherwise the whole "OMG A DRAGON" feeling will wear off pretty quick.

But I am definitely getting this game :D
It just keeps getting better and better!
I think they are still tweaking the dragon frequency. He that in the earlier stages of the random dragon spawning there were way too many. Todd said that his character ended up getting chased by three at once and that was just too much. They will probably make them very rare and you'll also probably see them flying from far off so you can possibly avoid confrontation.

Dragon hunting and sustainable career. Somehow these two phrases seem incongruous.
That, they do. And that's why I've decided that my first act in the game will be to create a custom class and calling it "Dragon Hunter". Making your in-game decisions based on dull old common sense, serves only to make the game really boring really fast!
Actually, IIRC Bethesda already released that Skyrim will have no classes; every skill increase will serve to help level your character. So whilst you might *call* yourself a Dragon Hunter, so will every other Tom, Dick and Harriet corpse you find along the way. ;)

No classes? Well, that dampens my ambitions somewhat. [small]I'll just go and be sad somewhere.[/small]

Wait...

"CALL" myself a Dragon Hunter, you say? I still get to choose my own NAME, right?

RIGHT?

YEEEEEAH! People, peasants and random wildlife of Skyrim, meet your new hero, burglar, serial pottery nudger and general pain in the posterior... DRAGON HUNTER! First name, The!

And you'd better believe, I'll be as CLASSY as all F**K! [small][Burrrp.][/small] BOOYAH!

Balls, how did I miss this?
This promptly solves my main issue for the game, what if you run out of dragons?
Because I can safely assume that hacking Dragons to death with an axe or blowing them up with thunderstorms will NEVER get old.
