I'd always thought they had very defined eyebrows anyway, but I'm kinda happy they've made them dark and ashen instead of the giant Smurfs they were by default in Oblivion. At least they have real Elf ears again instead of the pointy human ears, I swear the Dunmer in Oblivion must have been the result of cross-species relations.Owyn_Merrilin said:

Nice, the Dunmer actually look fierce now. I liked how in Morrowind, the Dunmer always looked reserved and cold towards everyone else. Oblivion lumped their voice actor with the Bosmer and Altmer, which made them sound too cheery. Now all he needs are a set of deep red eyes and it'll be like I never left Vvardenfell.
If Bethesda decides to make their Ancestor Ghost power useful, I may just reconsider my decision to play as an Altmer the first time around.

I'm pretty sure the reason why elves are always drawn with pointy ears is because of the anime "Record of Lodoss War". Try checking TV Tropes' info on pointy ears, if you dare!Owyn_Merrilin said:

His ears look like off bananas, and his eyebrows look like cliffs, but I'm still going to play as a Dark Elf. Practically every time I made an account on Oblivion, I played as a Dunmer thief/mage.
I thought that they ran in a range from a bluish white to straight up black, with an olive color in between. Of course, I'm pretty sure the ones in Daggerfall and Arena were black, as in Drizzt Do Urden, not as in President Obama. As for the brow ridges, I don't remember them being particularly defined, and if they were, not quite like this -- Neanderthals would envy these guys. As for the ears, I don't remember them being shaped quite like this in any of the earlier games. Long and pointy, sure, but not boxy like that.Azure-Supernova said:
