Bah. You obviously just didn't understand it. The rocket symbolizes the failed aspirations of the Soviet Union. Did you not get the hint when it tallied up your score? The more points you had, the bigger the rocket. This implies that the points are actually representing money. Now you think to yourself, a Russian game that has a form of currency? The whole game is obviously a polemic on the failure of communism to provide us with a truly advanced society. After all, they couldn't even beat America to the moon (thus the irony of the rocket).

But the blocks symbolize Soviet citizens, who must try to fit into society (the other blocks)! IT'S TRUE!

Also note the choice of late 19th/early 20th century music as a reminder of the time when Russia was ruled by the Tsars.

That was one of the best endings of any game i have ever played EVER!

I think they meant God, not Gears.

Nothing worse than when a game tries its hardest to make you foam at the mouth in anticipation for the sequel. God of War did this well. Assassin's Creed did it pretty poorly IMO.

I don't mind if you fight against all odds, appear to win and then your character dies at the end, as long as it makes sense and it's a good story.... the only times i feel "betrayed" per se by an ending is when it's poorly written when the game before hand was quite well structured.

Indigo freaking Prophecy.

Indigo Prophecy was shaping up to be one of my favorite games ever. Sure, the controls were annoying, but that was my only minor complaint in a sea of win and success.

And then the ending blew all of that to hell. Seriously, worst ending of any game ever.
