I meant the Shadow game, but I agree with your point. Shadow was definitely a kickass character in SA2, and even a little bit in Heroes, when he declared that he didn't care whether he was the real one or not. So, of course, they completly botch it up in his game.Tenmar said:

Sonic is the mascot and the most recognizable brand from SEGA. As long as there is a SEGA there will be a Sonic. Unless they release a game SO terrible they must change their image forever. Which honestly, might happen sooner than later.

Like Fart Jokes or The Simpsons, Sonic will never end because it makes money. Even if the newer games suck they sell like hotcakes.
As long as there are stupid little kids populating the Earth these new, terribly crappy Sonic games will continue to be churned out. Being a long time Sonic fan, it pains me to see one of my favorite gaming mascots degraded to such a degree. And the remedy to fix sonic is so simple, remove all the things they added to the sonic franchise after S&K, such as 3D,Amy, Shadow and the whole lot and return Sonic to his roots of 2D gaming, hell, they could do 3D on a 2D plane and it would be pretty good, and also turn down the speed a notch, seriously, I tried playing Sonic Unleashed and you need the reflexes of SS4 Goku hopped up on crack and caffeine to avoid things in that game.
i dont place bets knowing i will lose, that being said i dont actually BUY sonic games but sometimes the planets align and i see a good idea encased in a pile of shit that is a sonic game. i referr to Sonic Heroes. this was a good IDEA with a HORRIBLE aplication. after i tried and failed to like it i stopped holding out hope that sega would use their good ideas wisely or in a way that made the games passable.
that being said, i liked SA2 and only disliked the voiceacting, tails' dialog, and the lack of freeroaming... but hell i MUST be alone cause everyone else i find in the world hates it... except the guy who showed it to me.
anyway someone assassinate sonic team and take their ideas and turn them into the next psychonauts or something. cause sonic himself is deader than my goldfish.
