Yes I know I know they're mega cheap and everybody should have played them both by now, but lets say i only have £5

Which demands my attention more?

Escapist has already told us about the platforming/story quality that makes Psychonauts stand out. But what is it about BGAE that makes people still appreciate it now?

Beyond Good and Evil. Bought them at a full price (about $50) the week of the release, was awesome. I would play it, but I have to download it from Steam (yes, I bought the game the second time), because my DvD is busted and sounds are messed up.

For £5? That's what Steam is demanding.

Not a thread about where to get a game. It's about opinions about the games.

I started BGAE, but stopped playing as I had other, more important things to do at the time. I enjoyed it a lot. I saw my brother playing Psychonauts and was quite literally watching him whenever he played. It was brilliant. I'd say borrow some money and buy both of them as you won't regret it.

There's no doubt that they're both well worth it. But... Well... Y'know. You can only play one of them at once... So which one is the MORE unmissable experience?

Get a Gametap account, download and play Psychnauts for free, and then buy Beyond Good & Evil. Problem solved.

I prefered Beyond Good and Evil. I would say it is more unmissable especially with the sequel coming out someday.

Psychonauts, not counting the frustrating end level. But then again, i nearly threw my PC out the window during the BGAE bossfight. :)

I would say Pyschonants - both are good, but I can't play beyond good and evil for long as the enforced low resolution gives me a bad headache after only 10 minutes, whereas Pyschonants doesn't.

Game itself wise, I'd still have to say Pyschonants as its more colourful and entertaining, although either is a good choice and refreshingly different from the endless lines of clone games these days.

Asking "Psychonauts or Beyond Good and Evil?" is like asking "Would you like a blowjob from a gorgeous blonde or a gorgeous brunette?"...

Personally, if I had to pick one I'd go for Beyond Good and Evil.

Beyond Good and Evil was by far the better of the two games imo. But that is not to say psychonauts was without its splendor.

IIRC on GameTap, Psychonauts is free, so there's no excuse to not play that game.
