I played the beta on my friend's computer, as a sniper.
That game has balance issues. Seriously.

Sniping shouldn't work at close range, no matter how good you are with a mouse, but it does, and it stays effective at long range.
If you're good mediocre at point-and-click sniping and have even the most rudimentary grasp of tactics, you will own as a sniper.

I like the style and gameplay otherwise, but that kinda kills it for me, and I'm not going to buy it.

I had the beta, i played it for about 30 minutes. I stopped playing it. I uninstalled it from my computer. I had a cup of tea. I went to my friends house. We played 2 player games the rest of the day. Good Times.

Went a bit off topic there but anyway, i thought it was bad. Thats all i can say about it. A nice idea but just plain bad.

What the sniper guy said. There is zero reason to play as anything but a sniper unless you want to lose.

Once it gets balanced, and I'm sure it will, the game will be worth playing. Until then, do something else unless you really like losing every. Fucking. Game.

Well, i mean, the gun itself should be just as effective at close range. I think the uncertainty for the crosshairs should just be gigantic unless you are in prone.

and i do not know if the game does the prone sniping thing.

It's a kinda fun game.......

If you don't mind tanks domminating
If you don't mind commandos being the only thing worth playing at high level
If you can actually connect to a server
If you can actually connect to the launcher
If you can get the launcher to not crash
If you can stand punkbuster being rubbish
If you can live with the support forum being a total waste of time


apart from that it's great

The sniper is overpowered? Last time I played (a few months ago) the support was the cheap class.

Anyway, I got bored of the game really quickly. If I wanted to play a battlefield game, I would play BF2 or BF2142.

I totally agree. Couldn't stand it for more than 15 minutes. Just not my cup of tea when there are so many better games out there.

Ive had the beta for a long time. Its really fun. Despite what everyone says about balance issues, its not true at all. Its well balanced these people just play for 15 minutes so they don't know what they are doing. Ive played it for a long time its really fun. The only stupid thing was that your weapons expired after a couple days or a month. But they have now made is so you can permanently get it.
