are you a punk by any chance?DaWaffledude said:I got it in a humble bundle a while back. Still keep getting kicked by Punkbuster for no reason whenever I try to join a game.
I was totally expecting that answer. Shitty launches and buggy games aren't comparable to crap like Air Control, Day One, The War Z and the other half-completed, broken shit that's been on Steam.NuclearKangaroo said:*AHEM*anthony87 said:Origin has actually pulled slightly ahead of Steam for me lately. SimCity, Battlefield 4...
sure but at the same time origin doesnt have FTL, Mark of the Ninja, antichamber, Fallout 3, Just Cause 2, FLY'N, Silent Storm or the Age of Wonder seriesanthony87 said:I was totally expecting that answer. i really fear im starting to sound like a huge steam fanboy (and i kind of am) but... steam has a fix for that, atleast a partial fixAzaraxzealot said:The only thing I liked about origin better than steam was better use of bandwidth. When steam downloads something it takes a higher priority over everything and everyone else using the internet, but origin seemed to adjust itself according to other programs that needed bandwidth. For example, I'm downloading a game on steam? Everyone else in the house is moaning about how the internet isn't working. If I'm downloading a game on origin? No complaints. Other than this one fact I don't find origin superior to steam, but at this point I am just indifferent to using it.
Probably will download this battlefield 3 deal if I get out of the hospital soon enough.
The only problem with that is that Steam's throttling, at least in my experience, is absolute arse. Seriously, every time I've ever downloaded a game off of Steam and limited the speed so as to allow me to continue doing things like watching Youtube videos, you know what happens? Every thirty seconds the speed drops to a complete halt and then works its way back up to the speed I set. Considering how much it slows the download down even further, at that point I might as well not even bother and just wait to download the thing overnight.NuclearKangaroo said:you can adjust your download speed on steam so it doesnt take all the bandwidth
How's this for unexpected: Battlefield 3 was a terrible game and I'm glad I already played it for free last year with my PS+ subscription so I didn't spend any actual money on it. The game should be free because it's not worth paying for.lacktheknack said:Hmm, I wonder if I'll see any unexpected comments in this thread. (The answer is no, no one has a damn thing new to say, but they'll keep on saying it anyways.)
Aaaaaand checkmark. wowow a bad game wont kill you, many stores sell lousy merchandiseBaffle said:Why? Selling a wide variety of goods doesn't make it okay for some of them to be shit. I've been shopping at Sainsbury's (a store that sells a wide variety of products) for ages, and I have yet to buy a loaf of bread that turned out to be rat poison.NuclearKangaroo said:when you have a library as vast as steam's, you are bound to have some stinkers
Hmm, someone beat me to it in a far more artistic fashion than I had planned. As with all of EA's games that require Origin, I'm out.alphamalet said:Battlefield 3 is free!!!!

No thanks! Suffering through Origin isn't worth it.

OT: Picked it up. I don't even care about multiplayer, but it's free so whatever. Maybe there will be a time a week before the servers get shut down when I feel like giving it a shot.
