She won best new artist, yes. But I must ask, why was ****** even considered for that award? He performed in 2009 at a televised New Years Eve party (Bringing in 2010). That was a year ago, making him a year-old artist, making him ineligible for this award, by my standards at least.

The Grammys have always played it fast and loose when it comes to awards. Where the Emmy's will give out life time achievements and nod its head to those who did good but didn't win, it seems the grammys bend rules left and right.

In 2010, the Zac Brown Band received the Best new Artist award, despite being musically active since 2002, and having released their first album in 2004.

Ya' know, I haven't heard of her till now, and after listening to that I must admit it was quite enjoyable despite the fact that I usually don't listen to that kind of music.

Screw Bieber fans, is what I say. That woman totally deserved the award from what I can tell.
