Another thing, I feel sorry for Selena Gomez right now(his alleged gf). Now don't get me wrong I hate Disney Channel stars as much as everyone else but she is getting hate messages on twitter just by kissing him and in fact a rabid fan slapped her, now just wrong.
Dont feel too bad. She's committing statutory rape if they do anything, since JB is underage. Kill two birds with one stone eh?

OT: So? Dude do you know how much Britney Speare's hair sold for? She had as much talent as JB. Its notabout the person's talent, its about the image. Thats why abstract art sells so well. There was literally a man, who shit in cans and sealed them, and sold them as art.

I'll say that again. HE SHIT IN CANS, AND SOLD IT AS ART.

and people bought it. its now in museums around the world. His name was Piero Manzoni, and this is what he looked like:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5a/Manzoni_portrait.jpg

How much did he sell them for? One can sold for 124,000 Euro ($173,054.40 American) while another was marked for 50-70,000 Pounds.

As for my take on this, well...yeah, that about sums it up. [http://rlv.zcache.com/man_not_caring_tshirt-p235453939704490045trlf_400.jpg]
Where did you see that shirt? I must have one.
I'm not sure where I first saw it, actually. All I know is, I want one and I can;t find one anywhere in Britain. I am disappointed. :(
I'm just thinking that since it's a simple design(black text on a white shirt) it might not be too expensive to get a custom made. Depending if there are companies that offer the service in either of are areas.

Bieber hate threads are so passe.

Seriously, I don't care how much his hair sold for. I dislike his music. Whatever. He doesn't seem to be advocating killing puppies and/or beating women, so yeah, his only crime in my eyes is making bad music. But hey, he makes lots of money doing it. I know I'd be doing the exact same thing in his position.

What i find funny is that the haters quote the pic "Hooray he is dead" and just leave without any explaination or reason for hating him, mainly, because there isn't. I just think that a lot of people hate him just from peer pressure. I'm not a "fan" of his music, but it really isn't terrible. Although i do feel like things went a little overboard, he's only been famous for what? Less than a year? He's already got a movie out and another one comeing out soon!

Still, that's a lot for hair... hair is hair, who cares if it comes from somebody popular, that is unless a crazed fan bought it.

What are you doing? What, what, what are you doing? [/sassy gay friend]

I'm not a fan of his "acting" or his music, but, jeez, he's just a kid. Hating on him makes me feel like I'm kicking a puppy or something. A yippy little ankle-biter, maybe, but still just a small fluffy animal.

So the kid sold locks of his own hair to donate to charity and his fans happened to go back and forth bidding on it until it reached a price of $40,000....I'm confused, what am I suppose to be hating right about now?

Hate the fans who continued bidding on his hair until it reached that price, not the kid. He was just trying to raise money for a good cause. I find it funny that this rage that comes from just about every person who dislikes him doesn't stem from his inability to make music either, it stems from the fact that he is successful.

...What. Have we stooped to a new low? There's a recession in the USA, and some teen's hair goes for 40k on whatever? This has just made my decision of being misanthropic seem more and more reasonable.

Good thing he's Canadian!
Regardless, the money is going to charity. He's not pocketing it.

I'm not a fan of this guy by any stretch of the imagination possible, but seriously! Guys...jump off the hate bandwagon.

Or at least be quiet about the damn thing. We get it, his fans are nuts and obsessive, and his music sucks. Just for the love of god, SHUT UP ABOUT HIM!
I've have to second that.

I've never heard any of his music, or an insane fan rant about how ownderful he is.

I have heard endless swarms of people tell me how horrible he is...if they hadn't, I'd literally not know anything about him. My only knowledge of him comes from people complaining about him.

Why the hate. He did it for charity. Just because you don't like the music is no reason to hate the person making it. Hate the music not the person. BTW I like his music.

That's right that talentless hack's hair is worth $40K.

I'm still waiting when will he fade from obscurity.

I know a lot of people are jobless right now in America and yet this brat gets a lot of money for just cutting his hair?! well at least it's for charity but still it's kind of jarring don't you think?

Now who do you think bought his hair? I'm pretty sure it's a very rich, obsessed fan girl, because no boy or girl with the right mind would buy that prick's hair.

Another thing, I feel sorry for Selena Gomez right now(his alleged gf). Now don't get me wrong I hate Disney Channel stars as much as everyone else but she is getting hate messages on twitter just by kissing him and in fact a rabid fan slapped her, now just wrong.

So yeah, I know you're feeling angry after hearing that not to mention that the WBC is within their right to protest in a dead soldier's funeral is justified. Here is a soothing video courtesy of Justin Bieber:

Man wish this was real.
It went to charity. Better then can be said for other pop stars.

Personally, I find your rabid hate to be MUCH more disturbing then his fans' rabid love.

You want a kid to die because you dislike him? Real mature. You are much worse than any of the fans. And I have seen some pretty bad fans. The money was donated to charity. Just because there is some nut who buys his hair for $40,000, doesn't mean he deserves to be shot. His music sucks, but the guy himself is fine. Lay off him.

Really, other than having rabid fans like every other popular musicians, why are we all hating a kid here? Once again, just because of the fans? This is why I haate ANYONE whose criticism of Bieber or Twilight isn't longer than a f***ing essay.
If he can make money, why not let him? He even gave it to charity, which is often the aid of lower class or helpless individuals. Is this not an honorable thing, capitalising one's fame to help others? So yes, those "jobless" you pity may have benefited from Bieber's riches when they would not have had he not done so.
I don't care for his music, but I tire of the constant hate of a kid who's doing what he loves. All because his fans, being adolescent girls, are stupid.
I have a problem not necessarily with him, but the music industry and the success off popular commercial music. I hate how he does shit all, he sings songs which lack innovation, emotion, intelligence, or anything that makes music good, and yet he's incredibly popular and rich - being a musician this really outrages me. He gets so much money and publicity for writing shitty, samey, repetitive commercial branded music, and at 16 years old. It's really just the music industry and commercial music promotion, but really, he's 16 years old. It's a shame how rich a kid can get for little to no effort, and all it does is promote the production of commercial pop music, because there's a market for it. It's not just him, but he specifically is an idol for young people to write even more of that samey pop shit - I'm not biased, it's whole purpose is to repeat what has already been done for the past ten years to appeal to shallow teenagers who listen to this crap so there's a massive market, and thus profit, to be made. Mainstream pop music is just a commercial consumer product. And Justin Bieber is fuelling it, and that is destroying the integrity of the music industry.

Seriously though - I'm 16, why can't I be writing melodic death metal and earning this much popularity?

Not because it's Beiber, but because of the way he spazzes out and his hair bounces around everywhere.
