alright, so the other day I was thinking about the forrunners and what they looked like and I thought of this, It's gonna blow your mind! (please note: If I offend anyone in anyway at all with this I am sorry, for I don't mean to)

Alright so think of this, when the forruners used the Ark to fire ALL the halo rings, what if this cause what we belive is the big bang, and everything in the Halo universe we know and love will come true in approx. 500 some years?

(No, I am not high if you are thinking that)

Damn i was sure that you'd be high with that title and idea.

I wont even start with the scientific reasons why your idea is silly, and instead i will mearly insult your post count and complain about the lack of capitalisation and other things like spelling, grammar, and sentence construction.

Also out of curiosity how would that offend anyone? XD

*alerts the evil space papacy of the cliche universe that a single human has finally figured out their dastardly plan by playing a stupid mediocre decent first person shooter*
... *sits back and waits*

Well, when I posted it at Forgehub.com, some religous people got mad at me and some atheists said they made this their religion

Except that the Big Bang supposedly created the universe, and wouldn't the universe have had to already exist for the Forerunners(sp?) to exist, build, and fire the rings?

Impossible. First of all, before the Forerunners were a race called the "Precusors". The Forerunners got their technology from THEM.

And if this was true, Forerunners would be gods because they were around before the universe.

Some religious people are fucking crazy. Trust me, I live around a bunch.
Then there are ones who are really nice people, but they're not the point of this post and often don't bring attention to themselves.
If you worship a god based on a book about a jewish zombie who dies in a diaper nailed to a giant T that was written a few thousand years ago, YOURE ALREADY FUCKING CRAZY.

No, the Halos [http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo_Rings] wouldn't create some sort of Big Bang, because they wouldn't affect any matter that wasn't organic and bigger than a bacteria. Also, the Forerunners were around long after the universe was created.

Don't the halos go off at the same time as man is beginning to appear? And don't they destroy organic life, not whole planets?

Personally I would hope we were in a universe based on a better game then Halo.
How bout errr.... Mass Effect? That's all I got. No wait! Maybe Half Life!

Anyhoos, yeah the Halo doohickeys only kill organic Flood free life. Which doesn't make sense because physics does not work that way.

Technically they kill all life that is of a sufficient biomass for the flood to feed off of. Microorganisms and the like are perfectly safe. As to the technology, hey, it's Sci-Fi.

The problem with this is that the Big Bang, if it was real, and whatever caused it, managed to throw everything in the universe outward in different directions. As far as the video games and novels make it apparent, all the Halo Rings do is exterminate all organisms big enough to become hosts to the Flood. They wouldn't cause celestial bodies to move.
