Big budget, Hyped up games that you think will suck.

Is there any end of year, hyped up games coming out that you just can't get excited about/think will be bad(or since alot of them are sequels, you think they won't be as good as the origanal)?

I'd have to say Bioshock 2. Even though I loved the first one, it just looks like a rehash of the original with new gimmicks like the big sister and the fact that your a big daddy in it.

If you don't know what big tittles im taking about, I mean games like: Bioshock 2, Assassins creed II, Boderlands, Modern warfare 2 Etc.

Edit: Also, am I the only one who isn't excited about Alan wake? It looks like it should be called Alone in the silent hill.

Im worried about borderlands. I love the concept and it is one Ive always dreamed of being properly executed but from what Ive seen it just doesn't look that solid, almost gimmicky, I hope that Im proven wrong but i don't think I will be

I have no idea how assassins creed II will come out, I had a love hate relationship with the first one

Dante's Inferno. I don't know, just seems noisy, cluttered, and lacking any depth. Not to say that can't be fun, but meh...I could just as soon wait for God of War III, since Dante's Inferno also seems to be taking a lot from that source.

i'll say mass effect 2. they would skimp out on game play again and try to make it a movie. games that try to be movies are BAD because its not a game, would make a good movie but a bad game. games that cant be played because they are so cinematic that it outnumbers actual game play is bad, no exceptions. example, like a 1 hour cinematic vs. 1 minute worth of game play. thats just my prediction though. maybe they will focus on game play now that the story is fleshed out.

Borderlands. I'm so freaking exited about it tho.

But knowing my bad luck, the game will be a generic rip-off shotter I play for 2 hours and then sell on Ebay.

And lord, I really hope the 3 million guns arnt subject to diablo syndrome (One gun is exactly the same as the other exept it has +.0000001 damage.)

Thing about that is, I actually am a Halo fan, but im not one of the overly obsessive ones. I know when bungie fucks up (ending to halo 2 and all 4 hours of halo 3 campaign, anyone?), and ODST just looks like they thought, "hmm, I wonder if we can squeeze any more money out of fans?". But hey, maybe I'm tottaly wrong here, maybe it will rock (although i really doubt it).

The next Final Fantasy game in canon. Graphics will cause you to fall into drooling shock, but boys will still look like flat chested girls, except for the extremely racially stereotypical black guy (this version has a baby chocobo nesting in his afro lol) and offer all the same things that most final fantasies have in the last decade or so.

Sadly, the next Legend of Zelda game, that I will love anyway, will be exactly the same thing as the original, with exception of better graphics and a slight twist to the story.

Alone in the Silent Hill with possibly the same shitty play mechanics of Alone in the Dark 2008... no thank you...

Bioshock was flawed but still one of my favorite games.

The fact that the sequel is bringing in multiplayer somehow puts a dent in my hopes, as the whole beauty of the first one was the wonderful HL2 style immersion of being alone exploring a mysterious, fucked up world.

I don't want to fire plasmids at real people.

Big Daddies and Splicer AIs don't call me a cheap Noob for using the M16... sorry I mean the electric plasmid...

People say oh it won't affect the campaign yada yada but it will. rapture will no longer be designed for one but for many.

Also... ANYTHING UBISOFT RELEASE FROM NOW ON.
