"Big" Fable 2 Announcement Coming

You know what's funny, I tried killing my kid, too. For his own good, of course. You see, his father...well, he's just annoying, and I thought it would be horribly traumatic for my young son to grow up knowing his mother had killed his father. So I tried to do the merciful thing and kill him first. No such luck.

Maybe if I say pony enough times I'll get the pony badge. 'Cause, you know, the description says pony on it. Jeez, pony doesn't sound like a word to me anymore because I'm saying pony to much.

I say it's not actually going to be as big as everyone expects, every time a developer is announcing a "huge update!" it's either some stupid DLC or new multiplayer maps or something.

But my money's on a PC port.

New Legendary weapons would be nice. Since all the legendary weapons in the game, except the Daichi and the Rammer and I guess the Enforcer, SUCK. Master weapons with some decent augments you can buy at the market are better than all the other legendary crap you find.

What about the Red Dragon?

I've got a friend over at the Lionhead forums, and I hear they've been told by Lionhead themselves that they are barking up the right tree with an idea for a battle on a massive scale. I haven't checked the statement in the thread myself, but I'd imagine it would be along the lines of a few Great Shard's worth of soldiers.

Yea, I found it, and no its not good. It doesn't even do half the amount of damage as a master flintlock pistol. Just get a master pistol (any kind, they all do more damage) with 2 empty slots and put in the same 2 augments that the Red Dragon has (Devastation and Lucky Charm) and you've got a better version of the Red Dragon.

Thats my only big complaint about Fable 2 and why I'm hoping this announcement is about something that will fix the biggest problem I have with it: End Game rewards. Anybody know what your final reward is for getting all 50 silver keys? It's 50,000 gold. But to get to the chest you have to buy a castle that costs 1,000,000 gold. So I don't think you care about money at that point. Same thing with the final Demon Door. Its money. In a game where they made money so easy to make its practically worthless. It's like they didn't even pay attention to what they were putting in these things.

Thats why I hope the announcement is something along the lines of them adding in more silver key chests that contain USEFUL things, something like that.

Yes, you find it at the shooting range, but it's not Reaver's gun. Reaver actually names his gun while your running through the caves with him. You can also tell because the Red Dragon is a clockwork pistol and whatever Reaver uses is flintlock.

And if you think a master flintlock is better than the Red Dragon, your wrong. it does less damage per shot, but you shoot 6 times in a row way faster than a flintlock will ever do. Instant death to Spire Guards.

Whatever this imminent announcement is, it's not going to excite me in the slightest. I already traded in my copy of Fable 2 to get Gears of War 2 for £10, and I've got Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge to play as well. All of which are twice as good as Fable 2.

Maybe this is the "We have something but you can't have it" ploy, to get people to buy Fable II or re-buy it in the hopes the secret announcement will be more powerful than Jehovah.
