The theme of my chldhood? HAving to grow up to fast. And yet somehow losing all sense of responsibility and maturity by age 15. Thank you, rich mother's boyfriend, you made me a lazy ass.

All in all, I watched a lot of Rocko's Modern Life and Sailor Moon. God, I fucking hated Sailor Moon. It was annoyingly formulaic, annoyingly annoying, cheap, and cheasy.

Fighting evil by moonlight,
winning love my daylight

I suppose another one was League of Gentlemen. It was a dark comedy sitcom about a wide-eyed young adult going on a hiking trip with his friend. He is "mysteriously" murdered by the two psychotic local shop owners who live several miles away from eve the suburbs of the town, Royston vasey, and he spends 2 seasons trying to escape, while season 3 instead follows the daily happenings of Royston Vasey (read: an in-universe time span of about 1 day) all happening at the same time, and how they interact with each other.

It had a huge hand in making me who I am today.

Yes, it's all its fault.

OH my god the replies to this thread. I'm not going to lie some of these themes brought tears to my eyes. Never let your childhoods be lost my fellow escapists!
But, how can I lose my childhood... if I'm still living it even at my current age?

Then again, I never was a Toys-R-Us kid...

(Wow... Re-watching this again make me sad a little...)

My childhood can be summed up in two theme tunes, pretty much:

It's a tossup! There's many many songs that if I heard, I would stop whatever I was doing, run into my room, & jump onto the bed.

*Where on Earth is Carmen sandiego.
*Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego.
*SatAM Sonic.
*Gargoyles.
*Reboot.
*Batman TAS.
*Beetlejuice TAS.
*Rocko's Modern Life.
*Ren & Stimpy.
*Samurai Pizza cats.
*X-Men.
*The Addams Family TAS.
*Are You Afraid of the Dark.
*Hey Dude.
*Salute your Shorts.
*Clarissa Explains it All.
*Adventures of Pete 'n' Pete.

Man would I love to be able to sit down & watch these shows once again.

Nostalgia trip!!!!!

These were the three main Transformers cartoons I watched while growing up.

I started off with RiD just as it was finishing, then moved onto Transformers Armada from there. Sadly there was never a decent time for me to watch it so I ended up missing most of it... Eventually my parents got me all the DVD's of the original cartoon, so I spent most of my youth watching them. Despite their many flaws, these are still some of my favourites of the entire franchise!
