So much negativity in this thread, it's fucking awful how miserable some of you sound.

When I check to see if a new episode of How I Met Your Mother has been aired and put online and it hasn't. Damn that's a disappointing morning.

People told me high school was "better" than middle school...hahahahaha! Then I was told college is great. Bahahahahahahaha! Life blows, that's the disappointment.

they told me highschool was this amazing bestest experience in my life...

they lied
i know perants and other people say it will be bestest experience ever and ill miss it when i leave

but it isn?t and i won?t miss it i hate school
People say the same stuff about college. Sure, the first couple of years were fun, but the rest was just awful. I swear I was being yelled at by multiple people for doing everything right.
I was not into high school myself but now I miss it a little bit, mostly because it gave my friends and I an excuse to hang out everyday within the context of going to school. Seriously, I was just at my school senior year, I didn't really do anything and somehow passed with good grades, while getting attention from everyone who I wanted it from.

College has been a disappointment but my school is as much of a joke as Greendale college from the show Community, only without all the humor. Maybe when I'm (if I'm) at university it'll get better. However the biggest disappointment in life has got to be the people, so many of them are just so fucking rude, boring, evil, etc. I'm really disappointed in the people.

Yeah, uni too for me. Because right in the half year between doing the aceptance test and actually starting my interests shifted faaaar away from the technical side. Now I have wasted a year on a study I knew I wouldn't finish practically before starting that I could have invested in the one I really like.

That Say Anything lied to me.

I stood outside my Ex's house playing our song for hours and all it got me was a restraining order and a trespassing charge.
What song did you play? Narcissus probably wouldn't go over well =P

The realisation that the vast majority of human beings are either intentionally or unintentionally bad people.
Myself included.

Smoking pot.

Years of buildup in every form of media, government campaigns to discourage it, friends with ongoing use telling me how incredibly awesome it was, and finally my own personal decision to 'just not try it' thrown aside for curiosity's sake, and what do I get?

Five minutes of hysterical laughter at a flipped over piece of pizza.

I expected more after you know...multi-billion dollar government brainwashing campaigns and multi-billion dollar multi-national smuggling operations and countless hundreds of thousands of arrests and a massive prison population as a result of this illegal substance.

Really...that's IT?
I'm going to have to go with this.

I thought at first that it just wasn't "working" for me, then I learned that that's all there is, folks.

My only disappointments in life are the lack of genuine disappointments.

What can I say? I thrive as a cynic. If things are going well, my delightful colour commentary fades to nothing.

Definitely University. Like someone else on here said, spending seven years finding your best friends out of 100s of people who are roughly your age before having to live with a completely random selection of people you just met... Not fun. Maybe it would've worked out better if I'd stuck with some of the societies that interested me, but that would've required me getting a half hour bus service to and from campus in the middle of the night.

High school, without a doubt. My grades dropped a lot, my friends went to study somewhere else or just started working, I can't find the motivation to do much of anything...it's just really bad in general. I know I could do something about it, but, as I said, I'm lacking in motivation. I guess I don't have a right to complain, but I'm doing it anyway. :\

OT: When I learnt that I would never be able to become a RAF pilot due to my eyesight not meeting the grade, so my biology betrayed me before I could even begin.
Annoying thing? My brother has perfect eyesight, and he never wanted to fly.
Damn you, fate. Damn you.
I've got a one-up there. I wanted to join the RAF or the Royal Navy for a long time, then as soon as I got to the age I could seriously consider it, BAM! Scoliosis operation stops me from joining the military at all. So, I'm aiming for the Merchant navy instead, which looks promising, though it aint the military.

hmmm biggest disappointment... probably getting laid in high school, WORST experience ever, really wished i saved it for someone special...

second biggest disappointment:
After that comes being lied to in 6th grade doing way too much homework from multiple teachers and getting home at 4:30pm and working on homework till 9 or 10:30pm. Best part was they told me i wasn't "good enough." All in preparation for "High School" when i hit 7th grade (still in middle school) i realized that was the stupidest joke/torture method. My school workloads went from 5 hrs of homework to literally half an hour or one hour. Now even in community college(don't worry i'm still moving up from there) i still find that joke hilarious. I hope they burn...

Quickly realising as an early adolescent that the things you were taught as a child such as that "You can be whatever you want to be when you grow up!" or "You can go to collage and become a scientist/what have you" are completely false statements and that the current state of the world and the education system in place does not make these any truer.

Seriously, fuck those people that say that. All it does is disappoint and depress in the end. At least it did for me.

Entering high school, suffering through it, and dropping out in the final year. It still haunts my dreams to this day.

Also, The Witcher 2 was kinda meh.

High School's been great for me. I have about 2 weeks left and I'm a graduate, then off to IU with a few scholarships.

Hey, I thought Borderlands would be fun. I thought it sounded like the best thing ever. I pre-ordered it, the only game I have ever done that for. And oh no. It was short and suckish.

Also, learning that sperm can taste bad and that turns some women off of the mouthy stuff. That was a kicker.
