I couldn't think of anything at first, but now they're starting to pour out of me.

This first:

Especially when you hear her whimpering at the end, as the credits begin to roll. That got me pretty good.

Walking out of the Vault for the first time in Fallout 3 was VERY impressive to me. I just wasn't prepared for it, I guess. I loved the stark contrast in the landscape. You had been stuck in the dark, gray vault for a good hour, and then you finally get out. The sun blinds your eyes, and it's almost a happy moment, until you adjust and see how terrible everything looks. Too bad the rest of the game wasn't as impressive.

Andrew Ryan in Bioshock was chilling. I didn't even like that game, but the scene was incredibly well done. It saved it from immense fail to eh, OK in my book.

Also, in KOTOR II:

First, the Kreia/Atris exchange was incredibly well done. Especially the line "It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it." I've played the TSLRP leak, and they totally ruined it with too much dialog. Blugh.

And Kreia talking about Revan. She says "Looking at Revan was like staring into the heart of the Force." You can ask "What do you see in me?" And she answers "When I look at you... I see the death of the Force." It was an eerie scene all around, and that line was just totally unexpected. I loved it.

I've got a few.

*KotOR II: Kreia. Just Kreia. Her end speech and her exposition on her exile are just incredible. But the best, the absolute best, is the scene at the Jedi Enclave when you're light side. That still gives me chills... Visas isn't far behind, especially when she tells you that she loves you. Kelly Hu's voice is just magnificent. It's like liquid velvet pouring into your ears.

* Shadow of the Colossus:
... If I have to explain this to you, then it's obvious you never played Shadow of the Colossus.

* Legend of Zelda OoT and MM:
See, -that- was an ending. Video games seriously need to go back to old school endings, not this 'walk off into the distance' or 'hint at a sequel' crap. Dammit, I want to feel like I just won!

Gaz is the best teammate ive ever had in a game. Griggs, Price and Sullivan (from WaW) combined isnt as awesome as Gaz.

this is the things that made him awesome (imo) :

he doesnt use all complicated weapons like soap, only a normal rifle and a shotgun.

he wears a cap with the british flag on.

he has an awesome accent.

he is the only one ever to have the balls to swear at the Command. ("USELESS WANKER!!" "AWW, he´s got to be takin´ a piss! We´ve just busted your arses to get to this LZ, and now they want us to go all the back down?!")

Fallout 3, "bad karma" ending to Tenpenney Towers. I was working towards the Good Karma ending, but messed up in one conversation, and so despite having everyone else be willing to let the Ghouls live inside, one woman's bigotry kept me from the good ending, and so in order to finish the mission, I let in the murderous ghouls, and watched as they slaughtered the inhabitants. I don't like murdering people in video games, even in something like GTA IV, so the knowledge that I was responsible for the mass murder, even if they were just 0's and 1's in a computer, left me feeling extremely guilty and horrified.

Wind Waker: the first time you enter Hyrule Castle and fully realize where you are...what a sense of nostalgia, sadness, and excitement all at once. Even if it hadn't been mandatory, I still would have killed all the monsters wandering around the castle interior, just to restore peace to the sunken kingdom.

A couple:
- In Gears of War 2, seeing
Tai killing himself, and Dom shooting his wife
gave me a massive lump in my throat.
- In BioShock, when Ryan
blows up the submarine containing Atlas' "family"
, I never shot Splicers so fiercly after that. Also when Atlas
turns out to be Fontaine, and it's revealed that you're nothing more than a cheap puppet for a pretty literal hostile takeover.
, I never was so angry at a videogame character.
- The ending of all 3D Zelda games. They always get me, you really feel like a big saga has ended.
- The Dunwich Building in Fallout 3 made me squeel like a little girl, even my trusty combat shotgun didn't make me any less scared.

Most definitely
at the end of world 1-8 in the first Mario game when you learn the princess is in another castle :(

and

at the end of FFX when Auron is getting sent to the Farplane. I acutally get really attached to him.

When Kaim's daughter dies
Yeah that one got me too. :'(
The game made a mockery of the entire scene by turning her funeral into a freakin' MINI-GAME.
That lessened the impact for me, somewhat.

Mine is very silly. I had been paying Viva Pinata 2 for like 8 hours straight and the damn sour crocodile ate "Tub of Love", my hippo pinata. I had never been so upset before at a game, and yes I cried, while I beat the sour crocodile to death with my shovel.

The ending to Shadow of the Colossus. You saw it coming the whole time, but it still hit hard.

Also,
When Agro falls off the collapsing bridge.

A certain scene in Lost Odyssey, everyone who's played it should know, I just don't know how to do spoilers.

In FFVII when Red13 learns about his father - Seto. FFVII may not be the strongest FF overall, but that is hands down one of the most well done scenes in anything ever.

Actually one scene that really threw me for a loop was the end of the final level in Braid. Not only clever and surprising, but powerful.

The nuke scene in COD 4... I first watched it at about 4 am at a friends house, when he was asleep, and I will admit, I cried...

on fallout 3, there's a place called the dunwich building, and as you enter deeper and deeper into the building, you find a man's holotapes and you can listen to him try to find his father, yet slowly turn into a ghoul as he goes deeper into it. finally he finds his father, who has become one of the ghouls, and he becomes one as well. that one ate at me a little bit.
Fallout 3 had a whole bunch of those. I swear, that game knew how to make a cheap shot. I felt horrible after listening to some of those.
