I don't see a reason to fear it. It's gonna happen after all: why cringe at the thought of it?

I'm afraid of heights (except when in planes), and sometimes of the dark (when there's absolutely no noise).

Trying new food. I just can't stand the thought of an unfamiliar texture on my tongue. Really freaks me out :S

I'd like to think I don't really have any fears.
Whatever happens happens.

What's the point of being afraid of dying? Everyone does it.

My fear is one day realizing that I'm the only person that exists and that everyone else is a figment of my imagination. (Hasn't happened yet but I'm still apprehensive)
OMG, I think this all of the time, I don't have a fear of it though. My irrational fear is that after I finish school I wake up and have to do it all over again.

My rational fears are spiders, heights and loosing my vision.

I'm afraid of rejection and failure.

I don't see what's so frightening about death. I guess nothingness is pretty hard to comprehend, but when it comes around you won't even know it's happened.

My strangest fear would have to be seaweed. I can't stand anything about, if I even see it I feel myself die a little inside. I can't remember the last time I've been to the beach. Unlike everyone I know though, I'm not afraid of getting needles at all, I actually quite enjoy it.

I don't fear death itself, but I do fear a slow painful death - I can imagine I am far from alone on this one.

Another fear is that my lung will collapse again randomly, it happened for no apparent reason about 6 months ago and that was NOT a pleasant experience (the needle in the chest just made me think of the OD scene on Pulp Fiction, which just made things even worse!).

Any kind of fear is both rational and irrational.

Most fears you find in your life you can learn to deal with though.. in case of "fear of death": there is so much literature about"Outer body experiences and near-death experiences". Gaining some knowledge about the stories and believes about a subject can help you decrease any fear to an acceptable level.
To deal with failure, start wondering why you care so much for results. If you don't focus to much on results, success & failure becomes less important.

On a sidenote: I believe if people were less affraid of death, there would be 70% less christians.

I am just wondering what are your fears. i have 2. one of them happens constantly while the other can only happen once.

biggest fear is THE FEAR OF WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH
Im not religous and im terrified of what happens, nothing, just gone forever? It terrifies me.
Becoming nothing is better than any paradise you can think of, so don't be afraid of it.

Look at it this way: When alive, you are in a constant need of joy and happiness, but you can never achieve them completely and the little you achieve is paid by pain and suffering.
Once you are dead, you become nothing. You don't feel a need for joy or have to go through pain.
No thoughts, no feelings, just peace beyond human understanding.

You'd only have to sneeze to make a football player roll on the floor clutching his groin...

I'm scared of that strange, plasticy sort of paper. Not laminated, but it's just sort of... Plasticy.
It makes me feel ill.

Also scared that I'll be nothing, um... Scared of tall buildings and vehicles, and I'm claustrophobic, too.
