The biggest flaw in a console is that people buy them.

Zing.

Seriously, though, it'd have to be the infamous Red Ring of Death.

The fact everybody under-estimates the Wii's graphics-maker-doohicky. They think it's like the frigging Snes, when it actually is capable of playing games a bit more advanced than say, Red Steel. Graphics wise.

i think its the way that the wii wont let you just add friends. it has a very long code you have to input first and it changes with every game!
ring of death for x box sucks, happened to me twice
dont have a ps3 so i wouldnt know, but i reckon the price sucks, else i would buy one

Red Ring Of Death.
That doesn't really count because it is coverred in the warranty.
It still affects the gamers doesn't it? And it is a flaw. Sure you can get a new one, but that one will get RRoD too.

Another RRoD would be quickly reapaired/replaced, as per the warranty.
Depending on where you live, it doesn't actually take very long to get it done.

It has become a minor nuisance, not a major screwup.

No ethernet port in the Wii. Also no form of high def output and being as technologically advanced as a toaster doesn't help.
No group voice communication on the PS3. There are more but those are all problems.

RRoD and E74 may be covered by Microsoft, but they are definitely flaws because they'd fix them if they could. Though it's not as bad as iJosh thinks it is and I'll wager he's never owned a 360.

Oh this reeks of fanboy. Havingto send off for a new one is not a "minor nuisance".

Not including some kind of new technology/massive third party interest.

It's what killed the Dreamcast and the Gamecube.

Also not destroying people's eyes is a plus.
Damn you Virtual Boy!!

3rd Party Developers. They make games for some consoles but not others. so instead of getting massive appeal and gameplay for everyone without having to buy multiple consoles just to play a few choice games.

Fanboys.

I would say the Red Ring of Death but I can't see that as a flaw I see it as a genius piece of marketing by Microsoft, really it's the problem behind it that annoys me rather than the phrase.

It almost makes me want to go out and buy an Xbox 360 so I can break it and get the Red Ring of Death, and charge around the streets shouting it; if I hadn't been sleeping the past week, had drank 15 cans of Red Bull and eaten 5x my daily allowance for sugar.

Or I could just call the whole Wii when used with games that require some sensitivity and precision a flaw.

A recurring thorn in the side I find is trying to play GameCube games on the Wii: you plug your pads in but you still need a Wiimote and sensor bar to start it.

fanboy wars aside i completley agree with this. For a "Friendly" game system that mostly relies on party games adding friends is a pain in the ass on the wii. Bad bad call nintendo bad call. Maybe your next system will come par to next gen consoles.
