Dead rising (the one for Wii), bought it for £30, realised I needed that money for other shit, returned it the next day, but only got £15 for it because I'd taken off the plastic wrapper to read the manual (as ANYONE would do). That plastic wrapper cost me 15 fucking pounds....

Phantasy Star Universe.

WORST. 360. PURCHASE. EVER.
Some of the people on my friends list beg to differ.
I loved the game, the story was bad the voices were bad but teh gameplay was fantastic and the extras mode made up for the stories faults, the online was amazing, i had it for the PS2 but it wasnt that different just a bit laggier, it was an amazing online game that makes up for offline faults because the game is just MADE to be an online game sorta like monster hunter

Fable II. The first game was the best! All Fable II was is enhanced graphics, and too much emphisis on ragdoll and bullet-time slowmo stuff.
Amen! Re-do the first!

Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows and Duel Masters. It was around three years ago when I suffered from a suvere case of "the stupid". Now the case is less suvere, thanks to more intelligence and actual gaming experience.

RE:5 short game, awful controls and stupid AI partner

Not to mention the fact that the multiplayer DLC was ALREADY ON THE DISK, but you had to download it off Live to use it.

That's low, Capcom.

Devil May Cry.

Maybe I just didn't "get it" but I never understood what was so marvelous about flinging something in the air and then shooting it. I hated all the characters, the game was to short to begin with and in my opinion it was was just Onimusha with guns and a techno soundtrack.

I was most displeased and regret buying it and it's sequels. I should of learned from the first one. At least 3 had some saving graces (though not many).

Spore, and Saints Row 2.

Spore because it sucks, Saints Row 2 because it has ridiculously high system requirements. It's utterly unplayable even at 640x480 with absolutely everything turned off or set to very low. Talk about a lazy ass port.
(And my PC is not that bad, I can play Fallout 3 at medium to high settings with minimal performance issues (i.e. when theres a lot of shadows or smoke), and COD4 runs perfectly at high settings.)

I wouldn't say the orange box was a rip off, since it clearly isn't, but it was the most disappointing game for me.

The only game I can really class as a rip-off was Beast Wars for the PS1. Bought it because the show kicked ass (and because I was about 9), and it was horrible beyond belief. Terrible graphics, even by PS1 standards, clunky gameplay and a difficulty curve that's best desribed as 'hitting a brick wall once the level loads'. Ended up selling it for £2.50 to a local shop about a year after I bought it (I tried so desperately to like it), but now I regret doing so, it's the only time I've ever traded in a game, well except a duplicate copy of GTA2, but that doesn't count.

Apart from that, I've never bought a game I deemed a rip-off, even things like Too Human, Deus Ex:IW, Black & White 2, The Simpsons games (Virtual Springfield, Wrestling, Road Rage, Hit & Run), because I got enjoyment out of them all. Seriously, Beast Wars is the only game I've ever bought that I literally could not bear playing.
