Biggest "whoops" moment in gaming?

COD4 LAN multiplayer. It was a three on three deathmatch. Me and my two team mates were taking cover around the corner with the opponents on the other side. I have taken point and try to throw a grenade round the corner, get the angles all wrong and it ends up coming back to us. BANG! Two team kills and a suicide at once and they won the round.

In Left 4 Dead, The molotovs cant break on walls or objects, only floor so..

In versus, our survivor team was confronted with a tank.
Being the only molly carrier on our team, I threw it at the tank, which hits it's head and floats there for a while, spinning, and it ends up missing the tank entirely.

Was an amusing, yet totally fail moment.

First time I ever played a James Bond game I was in team multiplayer mode with my friend and fired a weapon at a CPU enemy at point blank range...

WITHOUT realising that the weapon I just used was a heat-seeking missile launcher!

I DID manage to kill him...

However I also did manage to kill myself and my friend who was with me. He didn't trust me for the rest of that match.

EPIC FAIL!

In Half-Life 2, I didn't find the boat for the second act.

Excuse et moi?! You walk RIGHT into the room where it is, heck you can't even go any other way and an NPC even points at the damn thing. That's just odd.

I just wasn't paying any attention and ran right past after stealing all their ammo crates.

I got to the part where you push the washing machine in the hole and got stuck.

I was playing Portal, traversing my way through a turret infested area. Approaching a turret from behind I picked it up. It said something like please put me down and I, being the kind fellow I am decided to honor the silly turrets request by setting him down into a portal with the intention of tipping over and therefore disabling it. however as it turns out the portal I placed it through was on the wall directly behind me and I turned around just in time to watch myself get shot in the face.

One of those moments for me was when I had control of the artillery strike in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for xbox. I saw 3 tanks (enemy) and 4 ground troops (3 enemy 1 friendly) all hudddled in one spot. So after re-adjusting my genitals, I called the arty strike thinking im going to get a good 30 points from this, ATLEAST. Well, turns out they all scattered and my teammates all ran into that one spot to have a hippy camp fire. Well, they all died, I got kicked, and my score went negative VERY fast.

Tragic.

The boat level in "Mirror's Edge", I jumped out of the truck, took out the guard, and went on a melee rampage through the docking station. After taking out six guards, I did a 180 right into the machine gun guard.

Whoops.

After reloading, I just ran through without fighting. That worked better.

And don't even get me started on those mudcrabs!!!

Mucrabs are one of the most disgusting animals I have ever seen. Not to mention the most pointless- one strike and they are dead. They serve to be little more than a distraction.

They can give you Swamp Fever though, which is a pain especially if your carrying alot of stuff.

One has never been alive long enough to give me a disease. The worst is when a Wraith curses you and your strength takes a huge hit. This usually lives me stood there swinging my sword wildly while they blast me from a distance.

I never saw it coming...I, I never saw it coming...

I just finished killing one then another jumped out of nowhere and attacked me, I contracted swamp fever and was over encumbered.

didn't know you could kill gracie if you crashed, that is good to know incase i try that mission again

i big mess up for me would have to be in gta, i was driving along after just getting rid of the cops in the mission when you meet the gun person (forgot his name) since there's just me, my broken car, and the car on the other side of my car, i get out to get the other car, but i parked my car so when i got out i had to jump over the door to get to the other car right before my feet hit the ground a taxi comes blazing down the street and kill me, mission restart.

what makes this a mess up you might ask? look both ways or look before you leap.

i was goin 4 an achievement in COD WaW where u dont use any bullets i struggle through because of my automatic instinct to shoot things that move so i finally get to the end of the level guess what boom japanesse guy pops up in front of me boom headshot with my baynoet ariska so sad especially since it was end of the level and the screen was fading

It breaks my heart having to drop stuff, no matter how trivial the object.

I remeber when I first played Oblivion and I thought it would be a great idea to be a Wood Elf and collect loads of cutlery, convinced that I would find a use for it. I ended up becoming overencumbered with about 60 spoons and loads of plates.

I was Playing C&C ANd had an Army of tanks which I sent to a opponents base and then my bases defenses get ion cannoned and then my brother sends in his army so Ibring back my tanks which he then ion cannons and bombs in less than 3 minutes. The Gloating was never ending. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It really annoyed me on MGS4 that after some cut-scenes, you automatically start with the lethal pistol, rather than whatever weapon I had equipped at the time. When you forget this while attempting a Big Boss run-through (which, if you're not aware, doesn't allow any kills), it just becomes irritating.

On a lighter note, my first time going through the second level of the original Thief, or as I remember it, "An introduction to Zombie Acting". It went something like this...

Me: Hmm. Looks like a corpse. It can't hurt me (walks forward)
Zombie: (rises up suddenly and starts swatting me to death)
Me: AAARRGH!

Left 4 Dead: While trying to get Do not disturb. we were on the last level of Death toll and we walked outside the safehouse. We were playing on expert becuase we had a couple of random people in there so we didn't want them killing her.

Anyway. We walked out of the safehouse and a tank spawned. Naturally the two randoms ran for the safehouse while me and my friend had to fight the tank. we handeled ourselves pretty well and killed the tank. While doing my victory dance (Basically jumping in circles) I heard grunting. I stopped and turned around and noticed a witch standing there.

throw grenade, grenade hits wall, grenade lands at feet, grenade blows up, you lose your legs.

Me: Haha, what's that? *Points at witch*
Experienced friend: That's a witch. Don't disturb her.
Me: Yeah yeah, I won't. *Walks past witch casually without disturbing her*
Experienced friend: Good now I'm coming. *Friend standing beside witch*
Me: *throws molotov at witch. It hits her and him and she comes running at me*
Me: *Runs into Safehouse and closes door on burning witch and friend*
Experienced friend: *Killed by with and gets annoyed*
Me: Yay, I made it.

Later that day, I figured teamwork was the only way to survive.
