I regret my sensationalism before. I spent the morning reading Bill C-11 and it's pretty good in general. I'm not a lawyer though.
1) There is NO WEBSITE FILTERING OR BLOCKING. That's the most important thing to me.
2) The BAD part of the bill really centers around digital locks. It has a bunch of great stuff about copying things for personal use. Bought a DVD and want to put it on your PC to stream it to your TV? Sure, perfectly legal for personal use.
The problem is as soon as a digital lock comes into play, you're not allowed to circumvent it in any way. Did the online activation server for a game shutdown? You can't crack it to play it, that's illegal.
