No, he was fine with them boycotting. He says it's well within their rights to stop shopping at JC Penney's.

What he wasn't fine with was their demanding that she be fired.
You know that comment I just barely made about semantics in the comment you just quotes?

Yeah, this is a pretty good example.

...Huh. *slaps self in the face* There, I think I'm awake. Wait, did Bill O'Reilly's act of non-evil really continue to exist outside of the dream world?! Someone here must be the main character of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, because fate has just been changed!

"One Million Moms" whats thier problem with gay people?

and what kind of organisation are they? a bunch of mothers with nothing better to do with their time?

ohhhh are you fucking kidding me? so "traditional families" automatically have problems with gay people?

this looks like a great big "wont somebody think of the children!?" brigade
The thing is, the phrase 'For traditional family values' is just PR speech. What they really are is against homosexuality and homosexuals. But putting 'We hate fags' down as your slogan doesn't get you many fans...

shocker conservatives have souls. People act like other people have to believe one way or another based on their political party lines. thats simply not the case but I'm a conservative that goes to college where people goes nuts when I tell them I don't care if gay people get married so what do I know.

EDIT*
Which makes me ponder what most liberal college students think about all day? do they just assume all conservatives are homo hating rednecks from the southern U.S with a FOX I.V drip going? I don't know ignorance is bliss and a lot of people live blissfully.

Ah, the dreaded typo...I would bet a lot of those "moms" also have no children. Ellen should demand to see birth certificates for at least a million children before listening to anything they have to say.
Eh, Ellen's far more laid back about this sort of thing than most. She does however, snark like no tomorrow. Snarkiness adds a serious charm to her that I just love.

their just angry at fox and take it out on you sense they wont have anything constructive to do until Obama starts actively campaigning against the republican nominee.

The O'Reiley thing is shocking not because he has a soul, but because he is the embodiment of what liberals think an extreme conservative is. We expect to have to fight this guy every step of the way.

its like if the final boss in Dark Souls handed you a health pack and stepped aside, letting you beat the game.

I don't get it. More militant atheists stand up and declare from the rooftops that marriage is a purely religious institution, but when it comes to gay marriage, they insist that it be put into law.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

(If you don't regard marriage as a religious institution, then please ignore this post.)
Marriage is both a religious and secular institution. The problem is they're giving religious reasons against secular civil marriages.

It's also worth noting that nobody is forcing churches to marry gays, nor are all churches against gay marriage, so the religious argument against civil marriage is kind of...Crap.

I attended a very nice religious ceremony to wed two lesbians back when my state still defined marriage as a union between one man and one woman. It's almost like the two can be separate or something.

Also, I've never really seen anyone claim that marriage is solely religious and then demand equal rights.

Incidentally, religious reasons to oppose civil marriage is exactly trying to "have your cake and eat it too."

To paraphrase the Bible, you should remove the plank from your own eye before attempting to remove the speck from your neighbours'.

Personally, I'm fine with "never the twain shall meet." If there is to be government documented marriage, however, it should not be interfered with by religious bodies.

I oppose ignorant stereotypes! Now I will rifle off ignorant stereotypes!

Oh how I wish that were true.

I will never accept that any news organization is worse than fox, they're all in it for the profits which means it's more than just spun, it all borders on lies.

I'm more concerned that people single out fox news than whether or not fox is really that bad.
Oh, false equivalence fallacy, how I love you.

Yup. Bill apparently has flip-flopped since he took on Ludacris.

From what little I know of Million Moms (which is very little because I REFUSE to give those bitches the time of day) "think of the children" is there go to phrase to get what they want. They're against the "explotation of children in the media" so they essentially use children as a shield to get what they want on and off the air. It's really sickening.

And I really hate the whole "traditional family" they keep trying to push on everyone. There's really no such thing as a traditional family these days or if there is, there shouldn't be! A family doesn't have to be a mom and a dad and brothers and sisters, a family just has to be being with the people you love and who love you back.

Not to mention I grew up in a traditional family with a mother and (step) father and I will gladly shop at JCPenny as long as they keep Ellen as their spokesperson.

Yeah, this is a pretty good example.
Option 1: this One Million Moms group simply stops giving JC Penney their money, informs the company of why they are no longer shopping with them, and doesn't make a fuss about it.

Option 2: they start shouting from the rooftops, loudly demanding that Ellen DeGeneres be fired.

Option 1 (boycotting) is what O'Reilly thinks they should be doing. Option 2 (being pains in the ass) is what they are doing. He is fine with them boycotting.
