How is that a negative point?Kopikatsu said:Also, I was kind of bugged that there were zero human enemies. Even Vanquish had a segment where you fought US Marines.
It was also an RTS. It was nice how the robots in Binary Domain could be broken down, but that mechanic was only really great for the bosses, I thought. When I shoot someone, I want to see them bleed. When I blow something's arm off, I want to watch them squirm with pain. When I blow their head off, I would like them to die (Although most of the basic enemies would actually just become allies when you shot their heads off in BD, which was kind of cool regardless).Iwata said:How is that a negative point?Kopikatsu said:Also, I was kind of bugged that there were zero human enemies. Total Annihilation had zero human characters or units and it was an awesome game.
Your local gameshop must be a ripp off merchant as its one of the cheapest 360 games ther is. I bought it for £10 a month after release.StriderShinryu said:I'm basically just waiting until I can find a decently priced copy locally for my 360. The game has intrigued me since I first heard of it, but it didn't intrigue me enough to spend all that much money on it.
Yeah, I haven't checked too recently, but I know new copies of the game were still in the neighbourhood of at least $40 (out of $60 at launch) last time I did look.TrevHead said:Your local gameshop must be a ripp off merchant as its one of the cheapest 360 games ther is. Becaus eit is way more fun to watch the blood gush out of your oponent as you unload a shotgun into thier chest. Now compare that to a *clank" When you shoot a robot, which one is better. As Yahtzee said, "It is more fun when I know they are going to have to clean up with a mop, not a broom".Iwata said:How is that a negative point?Kopikatsu said:Also, I was kind of bugged that there were zero human enemies. Basically, I prefer killing humans over robots/aliens. Just a personal thing.
Not sure what you're confused about, so I'll just go with an overview. The enemies in Binary Domain are all destructible robots. As in, you can shoot armor plating and limbs off with focus fire. Shooting a robot's head off will cause it to turn friendly to you and shoot your enemies.WanderingFool said:...what?
There's also the fact that the only human enemies in both gamesIwata said:It's actually reminding me of "Vanquish" right now: a Japanese SF third-person shooter published by SEGA where your main foes are robots, seemingly well-received but flew under most people's radars.![]()
