In case you did not already know, Gametrailers posted the first gameplay trailer of Bioshock 2- (Sorry, just realised that the link did not work. Go to gametrailers and search Bioshock 2)
What are your thoughts on it?
My first one was "Yes! There is a god!".
It is also interesting to note that during the second part of the trailer when the player-character drills through the splicer, you can see the body being labeled as just "Splicer", not Houdini Splicer or Thuggish Splicer or anything like in the previous game.

Your link doesn't work. But I found it anyway. And it looks good. I can't wait for the Big Sister to scare the shit out of me for the first time. And he was underwater and his diving suit actually performed the function for which it was originally designed!

Looks cool.

It's not the gameplay I'm worried about. I'm sure the gameplay will be fine.

It's the story that I'm worried about.

Meh. All hype aside and i know it's a bit early but It doesn't really look as fluid and smooth as the first one. The underwater effect was a nice touch though. Yes i know its practically still in beta. But when the first game came out it was so new and fresh and like nothing we've ever seen before, the game play trailers were like HOLY SHIT! Without that wow factor of the original it should be interesting to see how well this game can stand on it's own.

But really im just being critical i suppose. I'm looking forward to it. The story from what has been told as of now worries me though. Just seems like your typical sequel. Take the best parts of the original and change them a little bit and hope to re-capture the magic of the first one...tall order to fill.

Looking forward to it - because I loved the first game - but... From that trailer?

... Looks too similar to the first. Looks... Ordinary. It's hard to explain.

Exactly...i re-worded my post right above yours like 5 times b4 finally posting it. I don't want to think negative about it but I've seen this all before with other great games. Just another recycled sequel.

The interface looks completely unchanged, which is a shame because I wasn't fond of the original. That being said the fact I can now use plasmids and weapons at the same time without having to switch (which always bugged me in the first game) is great.

I actually started to tire of Bioshock a little towards the end so hopefully the game brings something fresh to the table, judging by the trailer there isn't much chance of that though.

Seriously?!!?! That's the game play footage they released? Looks slow. Looks waaaaaaay less interesting than the first. The Bioshock story was awesome, but it's done.

The Graphics and gameplay do look pretty, but as many above have said it looks like much of the same there neeeds to be something that really has changed for the better since the first one

...Wait a minute, I just realised something! There were no crazy ramblings coming from the splicers...

Looks exactly like BioShock. And that is a good thing.

Kinda off-topic but I wonder what and how will Bethesda change in Fallout 4.

ah well, steampunk and updated graphics so I'll still get it if it comes out for the PS3.
