It's a rebuttal of objectivism as portayed by Ayn Rand. Calling it a rip-off is just plain wrong.AC10 said:I wouldn't call just ripping off an Ayn Rand novel including deep philosophic themes.
Well there's the running commentry of Objectivism throughout the game that permeates every aspect of it. Then there's the dewconstruction of motives within games (sure it was done before by MGS 2 but it still works very well). And there's a half-assed moral dilema sure it sucks but it's there. What are these philosophic themes anyways? As someone who has studied philosophy in depth I'd like to know.
Not really with Bioshock, theres alot more to the story than merely the plot, it's much deeper than that. Gameplay wise SS2 is much better no arguement, but Bioshock has much more to its story. Both Bioshock and Systemshock 2 are about the hubris of man destroying him and both have suspiciously similar plots.
Oh and is it true the steam version of Bioshock 2 will require Games for Windows Live? I remember when Fallout 3 forced that on me and I still have flashbacks.
