the thing i've noticed is that many people seem to have forgotten about bioshock 2 mainly because everyone is focusing on MW2 or Assassin's Creed 2...but are you looking forward to it or wishing it had never been thought of....

I don't like the concept of multiplayer, and I'm hoping it doesn't take away from the single player experience. A good single player game was what I wanted in the first one. And that's what I want now.

I really want that game, but I am a little scared of it. At first I heard it was going to be near october or november, no it's like in the next year.

I wanna know more about it, thats for sure. Why are you a Big Daddy? What are Big Daddies? I just hope we get to find out a little bit more about Rapture. Maybe they should do it back in time when you get to see Rapture fall.

If it sucks, oh well, they should have stopped after one. Hopefully it will be good, but if not, oh well. It's not like it would be the last nice looking game coming out for a year.

As long as the campaign is lengthened and a harder difficulty.. then yeah.

I'm not that happy about playing as a big daddy... but if it's good i'll buy it...if not then I'll fire up my Utorrent....

When i hear Bioshock 2 a few things happen in my head. Below are my inner monolouges.

"HAHAHA! I get to kill splicers with a giant fucking drill!!!!"
"The big sister sounds over powered... I have a feeling this game will piss me off....."
"I will kill the writers if the big sister turns out to be tennabaun."
"Why put in multiplayer?... If you fuck this game up i will kill everyone in your studio!"

All of those go through my head at once

Contains spoilers

i think its a terrible idea. Bioshock one was amazing. in the game you played as an average Joe and being stuck in the worlds largest most bizarre madhouse was a strange feeling and put you on your toes every second. in this game you get a fucking drill for a hand... even if they make the game scary...YOU HAVE A DRILL FOR A HAND. SPOILER!!!!! even in the end when you became a big daddy it felt off. multiplayer looks intresting enough but it seems like the type that will be half assed and full of noob weapons that will destroy you in one hit.

I just dont feel the game gill be as good

I have always thought that bioshock should never of had a sequel. I hope that the multiplayer doesn't distract the developers from the single player experience either. One of my friends is following the website, www.somethinginthesea.com/, so I think it is fairly over-hyped.

Well the first one was pretty good, the single player in this looks good as well. Always wanted to splatter people with a drill.

However, the multi player looks more like a desperate attempt to get people to want it more.

Rented the first one. This is definitely a pass for me.

On a side note: Can't wait for MW2 and AC2!

just becuase you have multiplayer in a game dosen't mean the single plyer will be shitty,.

I don't get people who act like this, it's like they think the instant someone adds multiplayer they compelely forget about the story and gameplay. When there are PLENTY of good games with both.

Bioshock was a finely crafted work of art. The trouble with an excellent story, enriching world and innovating gameplay is that those things together tend to make a "complete"experience. A complete experience does not need a sequel, and worse yet, it does not ALLOW for a sequel. Lightning can't strike twice here, and no one can experience Bioshock for the first time again.

Does that mean it'll be bad? Heck no. It'll be one of the better games of the year, more than likely. But Bioshock was fresh and invigorating in a sea of gross Halo-killers and shooters that thought "Aliens" was an acceptable plot point. Look at a Metacritic or Gamerankings score for Bioshock right now. Almost nothing under a 90% in over 100 reviews, it's one of the top 10 games on Game Rankings. Bioshock 2 will not live up to that.

Adoption? Fairly interesting Multiplayer? Abhorrent. Aquatic sections? Gimmick.

They'll keep the core gameplay, they have a decent budget, they have a decent team. I'll probably pick this up used, and really like it. But there's no reason to be a day 1 customer or pre-order Bioshock 2.

There are many games that add multiplayer to appease the fans, and then slack off on the single player. But note:

I didn't say it was going to happen. I said I hope it doesn't. I'm just basing that on my knowledge from many other games I've played.
