Oh lord, I can see their viral devs prowling the internet and coming up with your post...

I feel dumb asking this.... What's a viral dev?
I would describe the elusive creature as a video game developer that is very learned in computing, yet feels very strongly about the game, and so goes out under the cover of darkness and proxies, spreading the word about the game and gathering data on improvements to make.
So basically, someone scouting the internet for tips on making the game?
That's a brutally simple way of putting it, but yes. I don't doubt that Valve's done it, and Bioware's already admitted to it.

I've had this game pre-ordered for fucking ever and they wouldn't let me play it at PAX because i'm not 17 yet... fascists. But yes I am diffidently way more excited for this game then Assassins Creed and I am more excited about both of those games then I am for any part of any Call of Duty game. The only game that even comes close to stealing my attention from Bioshock 2 is L4D 2. But lets face it. I'll probably know all the campaigns back and front before it even comes out.

Well considering how long it took me to beat the first one... I'll rent it.

Definently something to look for. However, I'm upset that you're a Big Daddy this time. Sure, you're more connected to Rapture, but if you're a hulking metal behemoth the game isn't as scary/immersive.

Are compony's looked down on for it or something? It seems like an obvious idea, when making for a group, find the group your making for and ask them. Hell, i'd figure half the people on the escapist would be doing that.

It doesn't look that great. Sorry, let me rephrase that. It looks like the gameplay of the first has been improved for the second, but since the lead writer for the first isn't working on it, the story doesn't look great. It looks like a great game, but not worthy of being a sequel to the original.

I really hope the water sections don't become just some way to get to the levels. I want them to be a way around the story so I can explore instead of going around on a linear path.

I think some people might find fault with it, citing that it's not the dev's original ideas, and that they're just pandering to the consumer.

I disagree; I want to see a game where the developer takes my opinions into account, if it makes MY experience more enjoyable.

Guys, you need to stop complaining about the multiplayer, a different studio is developing it and adding it to the game. This means it wont affect the single player at all. anyway, I'm exited for it, it's supposed to be released February 9th, and I'll definitely be buying it on release.
