I believe it's been long enough now, though I'll still use spoiler tags, to assume enough people have played BioSohck 2 by now. Or at least read what happens on Wikipedia.

Now, I have no idea if they're even going to make a BioShock 3 at all. But if they do, I believe the player character will be
Eleanor Lamb
.

She doesn't do anything shooty or plasmidy throughout the series at any point. And there's also a very good chance that she's dead by the end of BioShock 2.

That's not going to happen bud. She had a chance of dying at the end of Bioshock 2, so the game wouldn't make sense to most people who played the second, unless it's a prequel to the first (say, five years after the first instead of ten), but then it'd just be boring.

I agree, and think this would be a bad idea for a bioshock series, one that, even though I loved the second one, should of stayed a single.

however

Watch them put in a scene of her splicing from the end of bioshock 2 in order to escape that part of rapture, in the unfortunate even that she is the protagonist

Depending on your ending in Bioshock 2, she lived or died.

In the good ending, she survived. SHe became the carers for the little sisters, and she took Delta's memories. She can shoot plasmids, (which she showed at the end of the second game..well, near the end) and she can fight if she must.

I think she's a good canidate as well.

Huh eleanor surivives in every ending delta is the only one who dies, I think you are getting Eleanor confused with her mother Sophia

I doubt it, Bio 3 would contain new characters if they do one.

All I know is they're planning a BS3 release by the time the movie might be due, on that note I can't say if it'll be any good or not since the lead designer for the first game still won't be present in the third (from what I've read).

Although I think people have given BS2 a bit of a hard time since the gameplay was better, as for the story just more melodramatic and taking it's sweet time.

As for Eleanor appearing in a third game it would be a better stretch since we already have two games with vacuous expressionless characters and now we would have something to go by. But then again BS protagonist is suppose to be that way, it's in the Half-Life school of shooters whether people like it or not.

Yeah, I don't know what you guys are talking about.
ELEANOR Lamb is Delta's "daughter". She survives every ending and has crazy plasmid powers. SOPHIA Lamb is Eleanor's mother. She does not survive every ending, and isn't spliced up at all.

I have no idea where you guys are getting this information, unless they changed the game and its endings since I last played.

Well knowing this site much of the info comes from what Yahtzee has told them, so expect a lot of gun turret jokes as if to be clever...Oh look we already have one...lol

Eleanor Lamb doesn't have any powers? I beg to differ...

Different big sister

Eleanor Lamb

best thing about bioshock 2 was a user review on metacritic complaining about Big Sister being too sexualised when shes practically a walking skellington in medical braces and not showing a single inch of skin

Here's what me and my buddy think:

You play as marines in the year 21:st century, they just found Rapture, you and your team are sent down to investigate.

Down there, you find mutated splicers who can breath underwater, and big daddies (diving suits, duh!)

It's not much, but it could become WAY more complicated.

that would be interesting

Oh and in case you're not clear on
Rapture is NOT destroyed. Only Fontaine Futuristics and Persephone were blown into the trench at the end of the game.

Now for thoughts on a sequel
Playing as Eleanor seems unlikely, as her personality and situation are different at each of the endings. It would be impossible for the game to follow the same pattern as the other two, with this being as it is. Both games have had blank slates for characters, and allowed you develop them morally. This could not be so with Eleanor as the main character.

That being said, I really like Eleanor, and hope they find a way to work her into the game somehow. I went through all the trouble of raising her, after all. I'd like to see how my daughter has done in life.

Since you seem to be one of the few that understood the plot what was your favourite ending

For me I think the Abandoned ending was the best both delta and sophia dead

I've never heard of the endings having specific names, so do you mean what I call the True Neutral ending? (Choosing to sacrifice yourself in the neutral ending selection). That was my favorite too. So poignant and bittersweet, much better than the flower child and crazy psycho ***** of the good and evil endings, respectively.

Also, that ending leaves Eleanor as more of a blank slate. If Bioshock 3 were to continue with her, that would be the ending they'd use.

DO NOT MAKE BIOSHOCK 3 PLEASE NO!!!!
/angry shouting

Seriously though the 2nd one was bad enough a 3rd game will completely ruin the magic of the first.
