Two stats it will ask for:

Strength
Intelligence (the extra 10 MP is nice, since Int won't level much on it's own as a Warrior)

Skills:

Armorer
Blade
Block
Heavy Armor
Restoration (I went Nord because it gets +5 Restoration.)
Merchantile (more money from sales is always nice.)
Illusion (Charming, light, night vision and invisibility are things everyone benefits from.)
I mean, to each their own, but there are SO many flaws in that character if you are trying to maximize yourself for when the enemies get tough. To start, you have ALL 3 endurance skills as major skills, and you don't want more than 1 of each if you can help it.

Also, you didn't mention a Starsign. Most characters can benefit well from The Thief, but personally, I LOVE The Atronach. It's really hard to use early game, but once you realize that only half of all spells are taking affect on you, AND you can restore your magic faster than a normal character once you get Telekinesis and a higher Mysticism skill since casting TK has a chance to restore your Mana. I think it's level 35 that you start getting more mana back than what you put in.

Stealth in Oblivion is the best since the Thief series. Go with that. I only play stealthy because it is so much fun.

anc[is]For oblivion, security (lockpicking) is completely worthless. The little mini game is really easy once you get used to it
Aye. Get the skeleton key once you can (God quest), makes any lock easy to pick, as you then have unlimited picks.
I've also heard some people say Stealth is useless and impossible, as everyone sees you straight away.
Those people are idiots.
Hit them.

I have 100 Stealth and some boosts for it, and now I can literally run into people without them knowing.

A cheaty way of doing it is getting 100% chameleon. Basically wins you the game (Was doable on P.C last time I checked, maybe they've changed it?)
this can be done using the scroll duplication glitch and a sigil stone that grants chameleon, you can also use the super duplication glitch to permanently enchant your naked self with just about anything.
I wasn't talking about any glitches, just enchanting and sigil stones.
Perhaps I misunderstood? By 'Cheaty' I meant that it's pretty much god-mode as no-one can attack you.

Bioshock: TURN OFF THE ARROW GUIDE. It greatly compromises the game's sense of exploration and environment. I spent about the first half of my play through being lead all about by that golden bastard. Once I turned it off, the game felt completely different. I had to pay attention to my direction and location, and I had to actually explore the environments for myself. Plus I was actually looking at all of the beautifully rendered architecture instead of a simple floating icon at the top of the screen.
Or you could just ignore the arrow unless you're stuck. Half the time I don't even realize they have those little helpful hints in a game.
It's a giant, animated, rotating golden arrow on the top of the screen. How the hell do you not look at that, especially when you're actively searching for the exact place the arrow is pointing? Seems like you'd need an act of intense, willful neglect to pull that off.

Oblivion: try melee characters before magic users and sneakers, they are way easier to pick up and play. Try NOT to avoid the main story too much early on because later they became absolutely nightmarish.

Bioshock: dont be afraid to die, its unlimited. Pick defensive tonics because you need them. Don´t rely on plasmids or weapons only, combine them (duh). Don´t rush the game trhough, enjoy, explore, kill all, feel the water on your neck.

I've never had a problem ignoring it. My attention is generally focused on the center of the screen and since I naturally explore FPS levels, I tend to not pay it any attention until I'm wandering around in circles trying to figure out where to go... then I have that "oh, I can follow the arrow" moment. I'm much more likely to be calling up the map every 20 seconds trying to find areas I haven't explored yet.

I love how people are so hard-headed about telling him to buy Oblivion for the PC when he clearly says he's getting it for the 360 alongside with BioShock for 10 bucks. If his PC can't run it, he probably doesn't want to spend a ton of extra money. Geeeeeez
Hahaha thanks man.
Until I can throw together a proper gaming computer in the future I won't be getting many more games for the pc.
I already have to many that won't work.

I've got quite a few that do work... and I still can't be bothered to play them because of the standard PC gaming annoyances. Simple truth of the matter is that most genres of games are being developed for the consoles then ported to the PC, so there's no longer these huge differences between the two. If you're cool with the console controllers, you might as well stick with the console. The PC version might have an extra bell or whistle, but they're going to be within spitting distance of each other.
