I should probably point out again that I am in no way suggesting this is what happened, it's more of a "what if" scenario.
That said, if they don't I'm not buying any more bloody sequels because most others I have played in the last couple of years have been disappointing.
I sincerely doubt this was what happened, it was more just an idea based upon what I saw in the game. Considering Sophia Lamb is in charge and it's 10 years later I am pretty much convinced Ryan's dead for the sequel.Furburt said:Interesting, I suppose we'll see when BS2 comes out.
It does seem a bit far fetched though, but hey, it's fiction. You can do what you please.
I'm not sure how they'd handle introducing that revelation into the story though, but that's a thought for another day.
I agree, up until the last sentence. It's possible the story will not be up to scratch with the first, but considering how well the first was made I have hope that they will do just as good a job.blindthrall said:Suchong would have to be doing some serious double-dipping for this to work. I'm kind of nonplussed about the sequel, since in my opinion Bioshock had a perfect story...for 2/3rds of the game. After the climax with Ryan, the whole game turns into a generic shooter, complete with ridiculous end boss. I don't think they have enough story left for a whole other game.

That is indeed the case.VashDaBest said:I thought Bioshock 2 was a sequel, as the Big Sister was a little sister from the first that was saved, but she returned later?
Shall change it to normal.TheNamlessGuy said:Good read, try not to have the entire post in center next time
Yes... but that's irrelevant to what I said.WestMountain said:But Andrew had turned off the vita-chamber before he met you so that he couldnt get back to life
When I said clone I didn't mean literally, I meant a double really. Also Bioshock 2 is a sequel, the mutliplayer is set before Bioshock so it technically a prequel.Cargando said:It's a crazy theory, I'll give you that, but we have seen no other evidence of cloning in the game, and I think the writers would be more creative than that. I think he's dead and gone, in order to demonstrate how much he believed in his ideals.
Of course, he will still be in the Bioshock 2, what with it being a prequel.
