At 1:43 only thing happening is probably someone using some ability similar to Houdini cause the banner doesn't change just gets hazy and couple with the gust of wind makes it look like someone is passing by. Also at 3:40 the badge doesn't change at all just starts shining with the glowing from the guys powers and at 5:56 is probably showing that someone is keeping their eye on you and their powers are using the painting as a camera. All in all this game probably going to have a lot of mind fuckery.
I dunno, your explanations take a couple leaps of faith but once again, I'd rather believe you than believe it is a simulation.

Also, I just watched it again and I'm pretty sure the badge does change. I have to watch it again on my tv tho, I'm not sure.

Plus that looked heavily scripted. More like a tech demo then actual gameplay.
It's heavily scripted, but it's definitely actual gameplay. Over on Giant Bomb they had like, an hour long interview with Ken Levine and a couple of other guys working on it, and the guy who did the interview mentioned on Giant Bomb's podcast that someone played that demo right in front of him.
It has potential to be absolutely amazing. Personally I think that this level of scripting allows the developer to create a much more immersive experience. Unless of course this computer simulation theory turns out to be true, because that's really fucking boring.

true but whats the point of making a simulation when they could have done that with bioshock 1 and they didn't. So to say its a simulation is taking a far longer leap

Well considering this game is supposed to be more open-ended then the first Bioshock(thats what I feel its being marketed as anyways), showing something that was heavily scripted kind of puts a downer on me.

Plus, there are plenty of places where the player could screw the thing up. Like when he pushed the guy over the edge, then got the tonic(I know its not a tonic, but just roll with it for now) off his corpse while he was on the one trolly-type thing. What if he knocked him off the edge? Would he be unable to get it? If the tonic was required to proceed, he's screwed.

Ah well, like I said its 2 years off. Things will change. But I'm still nervous after Bioshock.

I mean, there is the possibility that a good portion of that was actually not scripted which would mean the game is open-ended beyond our conception... I feel like a lot of times he got on that rail, he didn't really have to, and could have stayed where he was.

Plus, I'm assuming this is the first level or something, so of course its gonna be really action packed and help you along.

Very interesting. I doubt it'll be a computer simulation though. It could just be connected with how Columbia is built. You have to keep in mind, aside of a few tricks and videos, we have no idea what kind of secrets that place has. So, it'd be incredibly difficult to really pin down any actual plot facts at the moment.

Stuff changes, specifically images. That doesn't mean "computer simulation". It could just as easily be a psychological thing, like a side affect of the powers in this game. We already know that using powers too much does bad things to the human body since the girl starts to bleed after a while, so why wouldn't the first symptoms be seeing things around you change rapidly? Hallucinations. Paranoia. All of these things seen in the enemies of the game and no doubt the cause of the downfall of Columbia.

hes trying to point out the subtle nuances in the video. At 1:43 the banner, from beginning to end, as well as part of the bell, shimmers and seems to change much like the cat in the final 2 scenes of Matrix Revolution. And at 5:56 the painting on the wall changes completely.

Not only that, but the Protester, at about 3:40~, changes significantly, as well as the badge on the left side of his overcoat. It changes from the old American Propaganda badge to that of one of the Communist Party Propaganda badges.
I'd edit your post, the badge doesn't change at 3:40, it changes at about 3:20

It would be awesome if they added insanity effects to the gameplay to mix things up and force the player to moderate his "plasmid" use. If the player starts spamming "plasmids", his character will start hallucinating and gain weird status effects that actually affect gameplay. That would be awesome and would fit the the general "with great power comes great insanity" theme of the games.
