Sir, the question is so stupid.
Its like asking this to people:
Would having an orgy with all the beautiful women in the world be worth me filling out piece of paper saying "Yes"?

Everyone would obviously say....
YES! FUCK YES!

At $20 it's a steal. It's really a good game and does have replayability in my opinion. The first time you will probably miss some stuff and it's fun to replay knowing what you know at the end.

It turns out I still have a bit of change left in my paypal account, and I was wondering if Bioshock would be worth purchasing for 20 bucks? I've heard lots of good things about it, but I just want to know so certain things about it from other people.

1)Is there replayable? Will I want to play this more than one time through? It's not incredibly replayable. You'll get at least two playthroughs because of the good/evil thing with the Little Sisters. However, it's such a great game that you'll want to relive the story again.
2)Are there achievements for the PC version, know this, it can probably answer #1 No.
3)I keep seeing it under RPG? Is it really an RPG? From what I can remember from images and video from a while back, it looked more like an FPS style game or an Oblivion style game. It's mostly an FPS, but you can upgrade your character with tonics.
4)How long is it? 10-15 hours tops.
5)Would you recommend me getting it for 20$? and if not, can you think of any other games I could get off of Steam for under 30$? YES. BUY IT. It's an incredibly game with a great story and really interesting world. It's required playing.
The main strength of this game isn't the replayability or the RPG elements. It's the open ended combat, the atmosphere, and the brilliant story. They're what makes this game one of the best I've ever played.

It was worth the $110 (Australian) I payed for it when it first came out, so it's worth $20 for sure.

If you're into highbrow, somewhat intellectual gaming, then yes, it's worth that and more hands down. I don't believe it has achievements, but the amount of gameplay variation makes it replayable and the multiple endings are sort of a gimmick but do give you something to work for.

It's definitely an FPS first and an RPG second. In fact, it's really not much of an RPG at all. Calling it one is misleading.

get the combo pack with oblivion and its 40 bucks. 2 of the best games for the 360 for less than a new game costs.

1)Is there replayable? Will I want to play this more than one time through?

Not really, unfortunately. It has some small flaws that you won't really notice the first time through, but really show the second or third time.

2)Are there achievements for the PC version, know this, it can probably answer #1

Not sure.

3)I keep seeing it under RPG? Is it really an RPG? From what I can remember from images and video from a while back, it looked more like an FPS style game or an Oblivion style game.

It's an FPS with RPG elements. It's definitely not an RPG, but it's deeper and more customizable than your average FPS.

4)How long is it?

About 20 hours, give or take.

5)Would you recommend me getting it for 20$? and if not, can you think of any other games I could get off of Steam for under 30$?

YES. Absolutely, definitely, unquestionably yes. It is a truly incredible game that is an extremely loud voice for gaming's status as artistic and compelling storytelling. It is worth a heck of a lot more than $20, even if you only end up playing through it once.

You must buy this game. MUST.

1 It is somewhat re playable if only to use different plasmids and the sister choices
2 I believe it has Windows live achievements which can add to any Xbox Live account
3 It has small rpg elements but not really
4 10 hours on normal
5 I highly recommend, the price will go up in Feb because of Bioshock 2 so now is a good time, perhaps after Christmas

I only hesitate because I _think_ I may have seen Bioshock & Oblivion bundled together for $20 at Target (I may have been mis-remembering, though; it may have been more.) I will say without hesitation that Bioshock is one of the better games I've played in the last year, and one of the few that really "grabbed" me.
I can't speak for Target, but I know my local Future Shop had the bundle for $20.

As for the OP.

YES! Go buy it. Right now. You're depriving yourself by not playing this game. It was well worth the money I spent on it when it first came out, so you must go out and buy it right now.

It's a great game. In retrospect, it's actually only just a great game. However, after I finished it I was pretty sure it was the greatest thing I'd ever played.

That's hindsight for you though.

Worth 20 bucks at any rate.

Favorite. Game. Ever. If you want a good 1 player FPS with amazing story, then you're definitely gonna wanna pick it up. I traded it for Left4Dead, andI'm soooo glad I did. But you see I'm a guy who plays a game for the meaning, the atmosphere and immersion, and the interesting design points. Also, being linear is something I enjoy in a game, and Bioshock is pretty linear.

Anyway, I would definitely get it, it's one of the best out there as of now imho.
