Hi folks,

Was feeling in a very Bioschocky mood this morning and decided I would try and replay Bioshock 1. The only problem was that I have it on demand on XBL, and needed to redownload it to play it.

When I found the game on demand, I noticed the box art wasn't showing and the game information wasn't loading. So therefore I wasn't able to re-download the game.

Is anybody else having this problem with Bioshock on demand on XBL or is it just me? Any help would be appriciated.

Yeah, yesterday I downloaded the demo but today it won't even show the page where you can purchase it on xbl.(the circle is turning around but not showing the page).

There's no solution that i found.

You can probably find a physical copy for <15 dollars. Just bite the bullet and go for it. Heck, go ahead and pick up Bioshock 2 while you are out there, its not like it will add all that much more.

I'm having that problem too. I suggest you call up Microsoft customer service and get it sorted out. At the very least you should be refunded for money that you paid if it has been taken down. I'm glad that I haven't deleted my copy from my hard drive, it was the first game I bought from Xbox Live.

I'm sure it'll just be an issue with the servers though, if they'd removed it then it would simply be gone altogether rather than trying to load a page.

Hey, just an update for anybody still wondering about this - I contacted Microsofts UK Xbox support team and they said that Bioshock has been taken down from the On Demand store, and they are unable to refund anybody who bought the game initally. They didn't say why it was taken down or anything, or even if it isn't a permanent thing, so not too sure.

Just thought I'd share.

And THIS is why I'd never pay full price for a digital game (unless full price was $5 or something low  and is also why I prefer buying physical copies when possible unless of course the price difference between physical and digital is $30 - $5 then physical can go jump.

Wait....is that even legal? Can they really do that?
You've paid for it, you own it, but now you don't have access to it? How are they unable to refund?

Check the terms of service.
I remember some on-demand services that had this (or something similar, like maximum download limits, limited systems, etc.) covered in the terms of service, which is the reason for me never to use on-demand services again.

Yeah I think it probably is in the T&C. The only reason I uninstalled it from my hard drive is that I was getting a smaller one temporarily, so 6GB of Bioshock had to go. And now it's gone forever...possibly...

You can redownload it from the Xbox website. Just sign in with the account you signed up for XBL with, find the game in the Marketplace and click redownload. Don't go through with the full purchase and check to make sure it's downloading.

I tried about and hour ago and my Xbox just told me that Bioshock was downloaded.
