So a few hours in, game looks and runs beautifully. No issues on my end though I've read some complaints here and there. Its still the same 2 games, just retextured and some in-game physics tweaks. Couldn't ask for more IMO.

Any thoughts?

I'll download it later today. It's free so why the hell not. It's been a while since I replayed it. And first Bioshock is still the only game that I played for 12 hours straight without even realizing it.

Doesnt seem too updated really, but I was never one for graphics. Ive played and beaten the game a bunch of times already, another go wont hurt. Then I can move on to 2 and Infinite, since I never played them.

Is there a button to make Atlas shut up? If not, I probably won't touch it. The guy calls me every five seconds and I can't even hang up on him.
Its early, he needs to help you out for a bit. The game is definitely worth getting through it.

Oh, I know. I loved the first playthrough.
But the second time around, when I know what to do and where to go, it just feels like the game never shuts up.
I just kind of ignored it and ran through. Hasnt really bugged me so far.

I never really get tired of Atlas' instructions. I kinda just like listening to him and Ryan.

Probably won't bother getting this since the changes are so minor (I don't really care about the graphics and was never bothered by physics) and still have to finish 2 and Infinite. Glad to see discussion about it though; that game is the reason I sought out a forum in the first place.

I think I never finished the first Bioshock so I guess I'm gonna give it a go and power through it this time.

"Hey silent protagonist, would you kindly take me bowling?"

It's been forever since I played the original but did the protagonist even have a name in the game?

Anyways the changes seem rather minor. At least minor enough that I'm fine with passing it up and just playing the original if I ever get the desire to play it again.

From the BioShock Wikia (here, have a link [http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Jack]:
Jack's name is never mentioned in dialogue.
...
In the BioShock game files for the first level there is a passport for Jack that never appeared in the game.
So, nah, it never appeared in-game, but it is technically there.

edit: oh wait nevermind
