I think it is a not distasteful way to incorporate a theme into your big day. After all, the wedding is for the couple and if they want to have funny cufflinks or bizarre cakes, more power to them. It's all about making them happy.

That said, the cufflinks are most definitely not custom made; they are astoundingly similar to the navy diver badge that the USN used when the helmets were still that style. now I think they are mainly used as "challenge coins" but I am not sure on that point.

I am getting married with batman cufflinks...http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/jewelry/de04/?cpg=froogle

That's awful. Seriously.

In 30 years they are going to have to explain to their children and grandkids why the wedding photos and memorabilia look so stupid.

"It was based on a video game of the time. Pretty obscure now"

I hate this kind of rubbish.
Well you must admit they did it with style.

Those are the best things I have ever seen in my entire life.

It would have been cooler if the bride and groom dressed up like a Big Daddy and Big Sister (a Little Sister would be too creepy)
Well isn't THAT one hell of a toss-up. Hmmm lets see: "Hey Honey, regarding our dresses.....which is more acceptable? Incest or Pedophiliac incest?" "I think the latter is too creepy" "Yeah, first one is fine"

I kid, although....no wait, i don't; that's just wrong :S

See your argument would be completely true if it WAS blatant and wacky (like the katamari wedding linked in the article). But this was tastefully subtle. The cake top looked nice and was conspicuous and those cuff-links were barely noticeable. I don't see what's embarrassing about it at all.

As a big fan of Bioshock, the idea of Bioshock wedding sounds fun... but these people seem to have got the wrong impression to say the least about the relationship between a Big Daddy and a Little Sister, which are meant to be father & daughter, not husband & wife which the couple seem to be implying by putting a model of them on top of the cake.

I suppose it's harmless really but just seems kind-of odd to me. I guess it's their choice though.
Perhaps they are not thinking of the Big Daddy and Little sister like a husband a wife but an example of the powerful bond they share.

I liked their idea of the wedding. It was subtle enough to not bother the guest but allowing the small touches to make their wedding more unique and memorable. Its definitely the way to go.

That Big Daddy cake topper is actually the NECA Bouncer. Almost %100 sure because I'm looking at it on my desk right now.

This is actually very cool. Very original. I would love maybe a Starcraft wedding or even a Dead Space wedding if it could be pulled off.

The fuck?
I mean, Bioshock isn't even that big of a franchise yet to be that...

I feel that it's foul play and the gamedevs or their agents were involved in some way.

But, Conglaturations (sic).

Ha! "Rapturous" couple!
Seriously, great for them. That takes a lot of dedication, and it would have been a lot more fun to attend than a typical wedding.

I feel so silly, I just showed this to my Fiance asking if we could do something like this...

She just walked out of the room... Is that a good sign or a bad one...
