First of all... what is the point of this thread? I don't see a question, I see a statement.

That being said, BioShock is one of the best storyline experiences I've had in any game, ever.

The people who say it sucks probably don't like Singleplayer :D

Well, you've been hearing from a lot of tasteless people.

Also, what's the point of this thread? I see no question or anything...

Bioshock is amazing and is easily on of the best arguments in favor of games as art, we need more intelligent, suspenseful, and well written games. if you don't like bioshock you clearly only focus on shallow multiplayer shooters like call of duty and halo. expand your mind and play this game NOW!
but not bioshock 2, it's not made by the same company and it's basically a fairly pointless re-hash of the first game

Basically one of the best stories in gaming in recent memory, so you shouldn't take anything that the people who spoon-fed you those lies seriously anymore.

I like single player, and a good story's nice, but I also like gameplay that's not a steaming pile of shit. Man, people sure worship this game here.

Bioshock was a good game. For the first half at least.

After the climax it dissolved into "mindless, stupid shooter" territory complete with the stupid villain, stupid escort mission, and incredibly stupid logic.

Really, why did I have to dress up as a big daddy? Why couldn't Tenebaum just send in the "saved" children? The ones I didn't have to dress up to escort. And if I was escorting the saved ones, why the fuck did I have to dress up as a big daddy?!

It tried to bill itself as a spiritual successor to System Shock, and it fell on its face giving us some poor RPG elements, and vita-chamers a.k.a. "can't lose" devices.

But still, the first 5 hours were really, really, really good.
