Didn't any of you hear? No one cares anymore when people say Bioware is dead. Their new stuff rocks, and if you don't agree then go play something else. Pretty simple solution. But stop complaining that they died or somehow betrayed you. They just moved on, you should too.

Not only do I wait fucking 10 years for a conclusion to KOTOR's plotline only to be offered a bloody MMO, but you make me kill my main character from the 1st game AND HK-47!? Is Bioware trying to troll its fanbase that have been waiting a decade by killing 2 fan favourites and making us pay monthly for a WOW clone?! This is not fan-service Bioware, after DA2 I hoped you would get your act together. I swear ME3 is the last game i'll buy from you.
... He is not Yoda, dude. Living for, I believe, over 300 years old is not possible for a Human. HK-47 would've been made obsolete by advancing technologies. While yes, they are great characters, I understand that for games to evolve characters have to die...

Also, what conclusion are you referring to? As with all 'morality' based games there are always two endings, and with how they've written it, when Revan leaves known space, could you elaborate on what happened?

Also, since you never quite 'got' that EVERY BIOWARE GAME leads on to what the player envisions you might want to go back to Halo.

Oh I will play something else. I will play Baldur's Gate II yet again. It'll be awesome.

Not that I do this but I believe some people pirate in the name of justice. The best way to get a company to change their minds is by hitting them in their wallets by making sure they don't receive money through boycott or piracy.
The trouble is, companies tend to also look at any available statistics regarding the number of pirated copies of the game, and see them not as sales lost to "justice", but rather sales lost to gamers who just didn't feel like paying. If you really want to send a message to a company, you have to have the will to keep away from their products completely, instead of hiding behind rationalizations while you cave.

("you", of course, being this hypothetical justice pirate, not you as in the person I'm quoting)

Look up Wookipedia. There is a canon for both Kotor I and II. With the Star Wars IP being so lucrative it was inevitable that they would have to canonize these stories.

Though, if you really want to you can just ignore the canon. Star Wars's extended universe is a clusterfuck of contradictions anyway.

Eh, I think this was pretty firmly a damned if you do damned if you don't situation for Bioware. Choosing to set SWTOR around the timeline of KOTOR brings up the question of what happened to Reven as they've been more or less dancing around it until now, and I doubt anything would have pleased everyone.

I personally appreciated their approach than if they had played it safe and stuck to vague references, even if I suspended my disbeif at that being my Reven.

So you hate the company and yet you're going to buy ME3. Right.

Personally I haven't brought TOR because I knew it wouldn't do good for the franchise, I will be buying ME3 just because I'e committed over a hundred hours to that series and a conclusion would be nice.

The old Bioware we knew and loved is long dead. EA skinned it, and made a mask from it's face and is now masquerading as it in a pathetic imitation. After Mass Effect 3 I'm swearing off the company for good. It truly is sad to watch a great thing die, but it was on life support after DA:0, and with DA2 EA came in and pulled the feeding tube. RIP Bioware, your epic stories will be missed.

You mean like not being able to decide how powerful the force is?

Starkiller, a Sith apprentice can tear a Star Destroyer out of the sky, while Yoda, a Jedi Master, has difficulty lifting a fallen piece of debris.

Hell, I wish I was psychic too. I'd be able to get visions of myself playing ME3 and know if it's good, like everyone else in this thread.

Your rage is null and void the second you buy another game of theirs.

Kudos on the fail, dude. If you hate a company so much as to speak like this, shouldn't you not support them at all?

Also, and everyone, do me a favor and realize this:

DA2 WAS NOT A BAD GAME.

Worst than the first one. Not an AMAZING game. But it was mediocre at worst.

Just you wait. In 10 years Lucas will go back and make changes to the prequel trilogy and edit the scene you mentioned. As Yoda attempts to stop the debris from falling on him you will hear an audible snap and he'll say, "My back!" which will justify his frailty. Also, Count Dooku (or whatever) will shoot rainbow lightning.

In all seriousness though, video games do tend to exaggerate the power of the force. I have heard that Starkiller is not portrayed NEARLY as powerful in the novelization. Yes... I know someone who read the novelization >.>

At least he doesn't throw asteroids with the force like Revan does in the ToR fight. I was like, "lolwut?"

DA2 was an abomination and whomever decided it was a good game to make needs flogging.

Or... *takes a deep breath*
Not being able to force run due to plot convenience (see generator scene in Star Wars Episode 1)
Palpatine using a lightsaber despite dismissing it as a "Jedi Weapon"
Darth Vader "destroying the sith" when not only do more sith emerge afterwards, but Palpatine himself get's cloned twice making this statement and the whole bullshit prophecy moot.
Yoda being a "powerful jedi master" yet being matched by a sith apprentice (Dooku vs Yoda fight)
The Empire not simply blowing up Yavin and calling it a day in the original.
Whew... and I could go on, but I think that's enough for now.

I must say after playing it when it first came out it took me a bit to realize how awful it really was. I complained about it constantly while playing, but didn't stop and look at the whole picture until I had finished. DA2 was truly a horrible game (that had a few gems) and was a rushed disaster. I arrived at these conclusions before ever reading about all the hate here on da internetz.

I still have my copy though and will hold on to it as a reminder to never assume anything about a game before playing it. Assuming a game is going to be awesome is no longer a viable option :(

Seeing your avatar and name, no wonder you're pissed XD.

I do got to agreed that they should of kept him vague since his apperance in TOR look nothing like my Raven in KOTOR.
I'm pretty sure HK-47 isn't dead since in the expanded lore he was reactivited and got a new body during the Clone war era. I'm just waiting for the explanation on how he survive after he was destory in TOR.

HK-47 survives for 3000 years? Even for a droids that's... wow.

Poor T3 got the shaft.
