BioWare discussing ME3 MP

While there is no confirmation or denial of multiplayer. This was recently leaked over on BSN, although it is speculated to be a fake. The topic had since been removed but I thought people here might be interested.

To be honest, I'm more interested in Co-op gameplay. It seems like something that would fit perfectly into Mass Effect or Dragon Age.

After being initially skeptical toward ACB and then being pleasantly surprised, I'm going to keep an open mind here. Overall though, nothing I know of will keep me from getting ME3. I get goosebumps just thinking about the conclusion to this story.

I mean ME3 is the end, cant really do quests after you beat the villan, so only way is MP.
And the MP team they hired before ME3 announced.
ANd ME/ME2 was already downgraded to a tps, making it easier for MP.
Not suprised, just glad I lost interest in ME after finding out 3 will be like 2.

Oh and you may get a BW guy commenting in this thread. Cant remembe his name but he has a purple penguin or something as an avatar.

James Henley? He works on The Old Republic these days, I vaguely remember him posting on the old Bioware forums back in the day though.

OT: I think I remember the thread Bourne Endeavor is talking about, although I don't really visit the BSN much these days. My money is on a separate MP game set in the Mass Effect universe developed by the new MP team they hired that you mentioned.

But whatever, I'll just most likely ignore it if Mass Effect 3 has it in.

You mean the story where the writers will pull some crap so you can win, even though logically you should lose ? The same crp they pulled throught ME1 and got worse in 2.

but seriously, the story is what drives ME3, along with the choices through the first two games, it will be awesome. I'll buy it and then play through all three, one after other and see how the choices I make turn out. I'm excited for it. Probably the biggest game I'm looking forward to right now.

If they put multiplayer in this game it will be a disappointment to me. There are other routes they could go, and I've always appreciated the fact that Mass Effect is one of those games that really doesn't need it.

Save it for a different game, maybe (and even then I'd have issues with it), but this trilogies story has been all about Commander Shepard. Lets not chuck random soldiers X, Y, and Z into the mix and ruin it.

ME3 is not going to be the end.
The Reapers attack Earth, and Shepard is going to have to muster all of his allies to go and defend it. Once he does so, 4 will probably be the counter attack, or a filler game until the counter attack. I bet we're going to see at least 1-2 more.

Be more discerning about the people you play Co-op with then.
Simple conversation:
"Are you going to care about/let me actually go through the conversations the way I want?"
"Probably not."
"Then we're not gonna play co-op together right now."

I know plenty of people myself that would love to play Mass Effect in Co-op AND would eat up whatever story comes around. I've thought Mass Effect would be perfect with Co-op since the very first game.
