I agree with everyone saying the ending is bad, i can also see how some may have thought it good. I for one, was expecting to at least defeat the reapers and let the galaxy rebuild despite heavy losses, thought the crucible might have been a weapon that was so powerful and accurate that it destroyed only reaper forces, or simply remove they're shields. that ending would have been better than the ones in game in my opinion. To spend 3 games building up to the final fight, i expected something epic in the end. instead we got something nearly as bad as the ending of lost. it doesn't even fit! some magical AI controlling the reapers to make sure no more AI are able to rise up against they're masters.

Hello! did i not just unite the geth and the quarians together?

Not even an end boss (In my play-through not sure if their actually is due to my paragon options..)

I was hoping to have a big face off where we get to finally stick it to harbinger who's been taunting us for the whole of ME2!

and I am surprised I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, if the citadel is run by an AI.... why couldn't it have just opened the mass relay in the citadel itself?

granted this is my opinion, I am just thoroughly disappointed that one of the best game series I have ever played went out on some mystical ending where you feel as though you accomplished nothing.

Ill choose one option, I destroy the reapers but if I do the galaxy is doomed by the rise of synthetics.
Option two, due to me taking away (Via controlling) the reapers who prevent synthetics creating chaos, Synthetics rise up.
Option three, combine synthetics with humans, destroy mass relays, the entire galaxy's fleet is now stuck in the sol system. I personally just found this stupid.

it felt as though the game writers came up with the ending at the last minute. no doubt rushed by EA.

If i am wrong on any of these points, please let me know!

Jesus christ. I'm pretty sure that is not the case. It's a shitty ending, Bioware screwed you guys over. Accept it.
Most likely. Although, Bioware did say that if we knew what they are planning we'd hold on to ME3 forever. But at this point I can't put my faith in Bioware. I barely have any faith left and I'm saving that for Max Payne 3.

But, I just watched the red ending with Shepard surviving again. The Citadel exploded. Shepard couldn't have survived that. So the unconscious/indoctrinated theory might not be so far fetched after all.

Sigh. You just don't want to see it. It's fine, you know. Denial is easy.

So instead of actually addressing his argument, you decide to take the haughty route and simply say "well, YOU just don't get it!"

The relays can transfer matter without it breaking up into pieces.

What you're talking about is teleportation, which is NOT how the Mass Relays work.

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Relay

Relays create space-time corridors where mass is negative, which allows for untold amounts of speed to be gained.

And meanwhile, there's a HUGE difference between transferring matter across interstellar distances near-instantaneously and transferring "information" that is capable of REWRITING THE GENETIC MAKEUP AND CODING OF EVERY SINGLE LIVING THING, SYNTHETIC OR ORGANIC, IN THE ENTIRE GALAXY.
