Hello again my friends. I just had my birthday a yesterday, turned 16. Since my birthday is a little way away from Christmas, I normally get a good deal. But I've heard a lot about people who don't, which is...sad in my view.

So, tell me if you have a birthday close to Christmas, does it get lumped into Christmas, and what did you get for it if it's passed.

Oh crap, I forgot. I got the reissued Smashing Pumpkins albums, "Gish" and "Siamese Dream". In both special edition CD and in vinyl. I enjoy them very much. So yeah...what did get?

I have two older sisters that are within two weeks of Christmas. We celebrate it separately, but I usually tact on one extra present for Christmas for their birthdays. I don't want to just incorporate it into the holiday. That seems like a cop out.

My birthday is in January so I normally get combined Christmas and birthday presents. I don't mind really, as long as I get to celebrate them as two seperate occasions.

My birthday is December 28 so most of the time I get like a gift card for my birthday and real gifts for Christmas. It's kind of crappy. But at least I get something.

I had my 17th on Saturday. I can understand why some people don't like it, but none of my relatives combine my birthday and Christmas present and take 2 birds out with one stone, and if they do, it is because it's a more expensive one, so can often afford to ask for things I really want.

On the issue that it means I don't get my presents spread out across the year, well, if they weren't put into (almost) one bumper week, December would just not be worth it.

Also, Christmas birthdays coincide with Christmas sales, so I'm likely to get nicer presents.

December 3rd, my nephew shares my birthday so I celebrate mine a week after his. I get twice as many presents as my siblings, both on my birthday and on Christmas because of relatives that feel bad that I don't celebrate on "my" day, relatives that give me everything on my birthday and the ones who give me everything on Christmas.
I get a lot of angry glares.

My sister's birthday is ON Christmas. She usually gets a decent amount of stuff, but I always forget to get her two gifts >.>

I'm on the 17th, I just turned 21, I always did pretty good on presents but I hated having my birthday so close to Christmas because it was a whole lot of awesome at once but when it was done you realized you had an entire year before it happened again, fuuuuuuuuuuuu...

Today (the 20th) is my 21st birthday. Not that big of a deal however in terms of family.

Mine is tomorrow XD The gift-giving is surprisingly still well-distributed, no one really pulls the "combined" stuff except extended family. (Not trying to sound greedy, I really don't need much anyway, I buy most of the stuff I want or need myself).

I'm in April, but if I had any Family or friends who were close to Xmas I would treat it a septate occasions... because they are, plus it would be unfair.

I used to go to school with a Girl who was born on the 25th and everyone used to get her one present with, "Happy Birthday and Christmas" on it's kinda lazy and mean.

Well you both stole my Birthday (Dec 28th FTW). Mine has always been a separate occasion. Usually all of the Christmas decorations go down on boxing day or the 27 and up goes Birthday stuff, and turning 19 means you don't really get anything for either Birthday or Christmas.

My birthday is in November, so not close enough to Christmas to ever cause a conflict really. I just wanted to commend you on both your taste in music, Gish and Siamese Dream were great ablums, and the fact that you listen to them on vinyl. I'm 26 and people think it's odd that I listen to albums on vinyl. Just a suggestion since you apparently like good music, you might like Tom waits if you haven't listened to him. I'd suggest Rain Dogs, Bone Machine, and Blood Money. Again, just a suggestion, and happy birthday.

And shit, if a remaster of Siamese Dream is out on vinyl I might have to pick it up.
