I have just been rejected. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice to say, it felt as though all the blood in my body had been frozen into tiny icicles and hammered into my abdomen ( if anyone ever tells you that you feel anything love-related with your heart, slap them, for they are a filthy liar. It's the stomach, or maybe the diaphragm.) So looking at it, they're are two ways this thread could go. I could ask you people to drive the already depressing mood of this thread right into the fucking ground, or I could ask you to cheer me up with happy things and kittens and what-not.
However, I'm going to take a third option. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TakeAThirdOption] If you want to post some depressing rejection stories in this thread, feel free. However, you must post something that increases the mood by an equal or greater amount than the first part reduces it, either through awesomeness, cuteness, or just being funny as fuck. I'll start us off with a link to a Cracked article which I believe is one of the greatest and most terrifying things ever written. [http://www.cracked.com/blog/extra-mario-lopez-has-no-soul/]
That's right bitches [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitlel9hiod7i]. It's Robert Brockway. Word Puncher.

Rejection, it sucks but whats worse is when you reject someone and then realise you wanted them but it's too late to go back and fix the problem. Yeah i have some issues there

at least you asked. i have developed the fear. after so much rejection i have subconcoiusly decided to not ask until i know the outcome will be positive. needless to say, without asking you will never know if the answer is positive or not. so if i figure it out...i won't ask until i ask if the answer will be yes, if so i will ask, but i will never ask because i will never ask. life's a *****.

sadly there nothing much I can say at this dismayed hour however I could give you a link to a program about a great Philosopher on love and rejection, the irony of it all is that understanding a depressing matter can enlighten your spirit

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQl-Pl4vBgE I hope you can view it in your country

I was told to scrap a 3,500+ word history write up I did for a character on a roleplay site because I did not ask about using a concept first. It sucked, so I moved on. In my moving on I reunited with Zelda OoT, which I have not played in nigh ten years. :D

Mate you are making rejection sound worse than it actually is. You asked a girl out, she said no, oh well, you are not the first to be rejected and I guarantee you shall not be the last. Sure it may feel awful, however did it honesty alter your life? Of course not! Look to the positive, you actually had the gull to ask the girl out instead of sulking in the corner as so many our gender fancies and now you can move on to other, perhaps better girls!

And now I provide you with, overabundance of cuteness!

You be happy when your wife is mad at you for no reason and your ex is getting married in a couple days and you have to feel happy for her.

However i just ate some honey nut cheerios and that cheered me up. all that hard work the bees do. FOR MY TASTE BUDS!!!

Rejection is part of the game, player.

Like life, you take good with the bad. At least the worst is over.
[sub]And trust me, it's better than being guilt-tripped by a friend who has liked you, and you have no feelings for. Now that's awkward.[/sub]

Oh man, awful to hear about that but the truth is that if you were rejected there was no future to your relationship.
It takes tame to heal (to me its actually really the heart and the throat the heart seems that want to speed up and stop at same time, and I also feel like sufocating).

But see this is an opportunity to think about yourself and when you healed you have the opportunity again to pick someone else, and I wish you get someone better.

Sorry for not being totally cheerful, but after 3 night shifts in a row, I have the joy producing capacity of a zombie.

Girls are a dime a dozen. get over it.
Thanks. Really spectacular contribution to the thread there. Perhaps you'd like to add something more. Perhaps a funny anecdote or two, or maybe just some humorous pictures of cats. Something to lighten the mood somewhat. You know, like I asked in the OP.
Oh, and if the girls you ride with come out to only a dime for a dozen, then I'd get down to the clinic.

Firefox has attempted to cross me, thus as punishment, I subject it to twenty thousand tabs. She turns her place some thereafter. ;P

I know I'm making it sound worse than it is. I'm exagerating to the point of ridiculousness merely because it is my way. I will, however, thank you for that adorable picture. If I could produce a squee [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Squee], I would do so right now.
