Black Friday and Microsoft Points

So... the spendiest day of the spendiest season's fast approaching: And while I maniacally hammer out answer after answer on 1vs100 for the slim shot at winning free points or a game, I have to ask - Has anyone caught any badass Microsoft Point deals in any of their circulars? For example, would love to buy a 2000 point card and get the next one half off or something... or even get a nice sum of points when buying a retail game.

Plenty of arcade games I've been meaning to pick up, not the least of which are games like Rez, Ikaruga, Super Street Fighter II HD and so on.

Peggle is on special this week for 400 points (normally 800). I am not sure if you knew that or not but hey if you didn't now you do.

I am so picking up the head. Even though I swore I would never buy avatar crap. 80 points I just can't resist.

I think it is one of the funniest things I have seen in the marketplace. Just thinking about how ridiculous it looks makes me smile. That and it goes well with my bobble head. I am not buying the outfit to go with it so it will look especially bad.

I do remember around a year back, maybe more, when Target had a nation wide sale that included the normally $20 MS point cards for $15 dollars, so those kinds of things do happen now and then it's just very rare.

I swore I wouldn't support the points for avatar gear idea but of the gaming chaff I have my bobblehead is by far my favorite. Hasn't left my desk since I got it and now this? Yeah it's dorky looking but.. but.. I'll be able to look like vault boy :/

Heh, thread got derailed hard huh? Anyway, while its amusing to see a hideously underdressed Master Chief every now and again, it ain't enough to make me want to buy a helmet (however, I'll admit my dislike for Halo plays a part).

Peggle, huh? Keep hearing stuff on it, will just have to do the trial version I guess. I liked the trial of Splosion Man, as well as *buying* the 80-point titles "Avatar Drop" and "Experiment 12" (I think its called). Experiment 12 is limited, but fun and worth the $1 (80 points).
