I'm really into "dark humor" right now but I've found that its actually kind of hard to find, so all I really want to know is if you can suggest any good movies or whatever. Also, I want to know what your favorite dark comedy is.

Would Shaun of the Dead count? Then there's the classic Dr. Strangelove. Anything Monty Python also. Well, most things Monty Python. League of Gentlemen as well.

May I suggest Cable Guy? Jim Carreys in it, but it's still not as slapstick as the trailers tries to tell you.

Kurt Vonnegut books are always great. One of my favorite movies for that though is Heathers. I have not seen it, but I want to, Dr.Strangelove (shortened title) which is an older one, but the cowboy riding the nuke is from that which I always wondered until I found out.

'Dr Strangelove or how I learned to love bomb' is pretty good.

Damn Ninj'd. Try 'Black Books', the TV show. Somewhat dark but really funny.

Dead Like Me is excellent. The series, that is.
I refuse to acknowledge that the travesty of the direct-to-dvd movie exists.

Does Anansi Boys count? It keeps a serious tone in most of the characters, but the events make it so hilarious and dark. You sympathize with the characters while you laugh at them.

The Dexter books are good, third one not so much.
I haven't read them yet. How good are they?

Check out League of Gentlemen [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_League_of_Gentlemen].

Psychoville [http://www.bbc.co.uk/psychoville/], currently showing on BBC 2, is pretty amusing too.

They're much darker than the T.V series but he doesnt actually kill people as oftan in the books. Also he trains Astor and Cody how to be killers so thats pretty funny.

I thought American Gods had some dark humor in it. Good Omens is even better.

This. There's nothing better than a world hating book shop owner that doesn't understand why customers are coming to his shop and not a proper one.
It's funny that his Bernard Black character is a lot like Dylan Moran himself. At least the image I got from his stand-up shows.

He trains them? Man, that's dark. He comes off more like a brutal psychotic in the book than in the series. I wonder how Rita takes it?

I don't know about "Dark", but if you're looking for "Cringe" look up Jim Norton, or just the O&A show in general. Their Tammy Faye bit was hilarious, and whoever laughs at it is going to hell.
