Has anyone heard any news about it? they haven't posted any updates on almost 6 months.

I gave up hope a little while ago of actually seeing that come out in my lifetime. Sure, they claim to still be working on it, but it's been a long, long time since they blew past their release date, and it's been just about as long since they updated their twitter/youtube, etc.

Your best bet will be to not get your hopes up for its release, and just watch the forums while hoping for the best.

I check on it every few months, but their release date was a very long time ago. It'll be done when it's done. Best to forget about it then be psyched when you heard it came out a week ago.

I followed it for a while, because a friend told me about it. The last time it was mentioned he said, "Fuck those guys they ain't doing shit anymore." Weren't they promising it would be out by the end of 2009? I've decided to stop caring, and if it ever comes out that's cool, but I'm not keeping tabs on it anymore.

I remember there being a multi-page feature on it in some gaming mag I used to subscribe to, back when reading about PS2 games was an acceptable substitute for me. Remember that what I saw looked amazing, but I've seen next to nothing about it since then.

Black Mesa Source will come bundled with Episode 3.

Episode 3 will come out, the BMS team will decide to start over on the updated engine, and it'll come out a week after Duke Nukem Forever

It's Half Life one in in the newest Source Engine. And it's free (provided you have a game that uses the engine, like Portal or TF2).
