Hey guys, around 6 months ago i had my 360 taken off me and i just got it back today. So to celebrate this I wanted to buy a new game (only one because i'm also saving for new cymbals and skins for my drum kit), and I wanted to know from people who have played either or both black ops and new vegas.

Only played vegas, knew a few people who played black ops, it got kind of a mixed review from them. I liked New Vegas quite a bit, kinda glitchy though, but that's because I was evidently dumb enough to get it on PC. There is a lot to do in the game, if you ever liked a Bethesda RPG before you'd likely enjoy Vegas.

100+ hours doing stuff that doesn't consist of purely shooting people? Or a fraction of that of only shooting people. Really up to you.

You like multi-player (with all that crude racist language that 13 year olds squeal at you), go Black Ops.

New Vegas is a good game but it is pure Obsidian with bugs up the arse.
(Make sure that the 360 version is able to be patched otherwise don't bother.)

I'm playing Black Ops and my answer is...New Vegas. I heard New Vegas has bugs, but at least they haven't totally changed the formula of the last game. Treyarch seriously just re skinned their old World at war with some jungle fatigues and a retarded plot line which can be summed up as "you get beaten and your dude flashes to different parts of being beaten,". The multiplayer and zombie seem to be thrown in there as a life preserver or to justify the horrible single player.

So yes Get New Vegas because Fall Out is at least going to give you a good experience and not make you want to get plastered just to see if it gets better.

Really? The PC version is reportedly the least glitchy version of New Vegas. That and the modding community has already fixed most of the glitches anyway.

OT: Depends really. If you have Live Gold (AND friends), get BlOps. If not, get New Vegas.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing- I couldn't decide between these two games either.
I'll probably get both, but I'll get Black Ops first.
As far as I know, new Vegas is still pretty glitchy, and I don't want to join Black Ops too late and get my ass handed to me by people who have advanced as far as they can go and have all the best weapons/perks/other stuff.

I've played New Vegas and if you like RPGs I very strongly recommend it, especially if you liked Fallout 3. All I know about Black Ops is from the recent Escapist review, which was not kind.

Uhh...if you want single player go for NV
If you want multiplayer go for BO
If you want a game that works for more than 5 minutes, go with BO
If you want a game that isnt total BS, go with NV

New Vegas all the way, much more entertaining, and lasts a lot longer.

...Just remember, don't go north.

They're two entirely different games which are meant for two entirely different groups of people that like entirely different things in their games.

It's just stupid to compare these two. It's like saying:

"should I buy a kitten or a tiger?"

Depends, do you want a strong multiplayer or story? Multiplayer= Black Ops and Story=New Vegas.

Well, matters if you prefer playing a good Multi-player or good Single player, but even then I'd tell you to get a better MP than Black Ops.

FONV all the way.

well i ended up getting black ops. main reason for this is because i want to wait until new vegas gets most of its patches out of the way so i dont have to worry about thr game crashing. So ill probably just get new vegas in the summer holidays (i live in Australia so thats one month)

Look deep into your heart, my son. Only you can know the answer to this greatest of life's mysteries.
Watch some gameplay footage and decide for yourself, good sir!

I'd say New Vegas. There's so much to do, branching quests eventually (first few story quests are all the same, then you decide who to side with), a large world, and... bugs. Lots of bugs. But I still think New Vegas is great.

But I don't really care for multiplayer, and I still have WaW and all of it's zombie maps, so I'm biased. It really all depends what you're looking for.
