A few friends of mine and I were talking recently when we discovered that the N64 was the first system that any of us ever owned. Obviously that sparked a conversation about the best 64 games we ever played. While we could never agree as to which may have been the best, it was so much fun revisiting the memories of our youth.

My personal favourites are:
007: Goldeneye - Revolutionized FPSs for sure.
Perfect Dark - Personally, I liked this shooter better than Goldeneye. My friends and I spent way more time playing this than almost anything else.
Super Smash Bros. - First and best of the series. Oh, the sheer hours we'd play that. Totally worth the sleep we didn't get.
Sanfransisco Rush - First (racing) game I ever owned and I still love it!
Star Wars Podracer - Just too good for words! Once you got Nava Kee, it was over! Only game my dad really played on a console and he played.
Mario Cart 64 - Okay, who doesn't love that game?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Second best Zelda game of all time! Pure greatness.

I'll stop there because I could go on forever, it seems. I'm just hoping to bring back some good memories for you all.
So what were your favourite 64 games? Any good memories to go along with them?

Blasphemy!
In my opinion that is the best zelda game but whatever.
To keep to the topic at hand
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
Smash Bros
Mario 64
Pokemon Snap (I know, an odd choice but I liked it)
Mario Kart 64, not the best mario kart but definitely the one with the most satisfying end circuit scene

Personally, I liked Oracle of Ages for the GBC better. Played it at least six times.

I preferred legend of zelda, majora's mask (while it lasted) to OOT - maybe i just thought the whole 3 days system was genius (no, I hadn't seen any films with that in it :p)
Also played smash bros, but I actually detested mario kart (still do)

seems i just have a list similar to most, but I honestly can't remember all the games I used to play. These were just the ones I owned and thought were amazing, but I know I rented a lot of games back then, and I am sure they weren't all misses.

Not to be a wet blanket, but this is kind of turning into a list thread...just a friendly note.

Anyway, the Wii kind of feels like a retread of the N64, in that there are no 'pretty good' games for it. Like the N64, the Wii's games fall into either the 'amazing' or 'junk' column. I guess it's natural considering how unique these systems are in relation to what else is/was out there. My point is, I look back on my N64 with great fondness.

I agree with the most here, so i'll just say a few more which I enjoyed/enjoy:
WWF No Mercy (despite the deleting glitch)
Fifa Road to World Cup 98 (You could turn the referee off, violence is fun)

I have many good memories of these two, and most from other games are from other multiplayers (Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Goldeneye etc) as I think the N64 had maybe the best choice of multiplayer games on any system.

Still have a good play of them when I get a few friends up

Oh my christ I had totally forgot about Star Wars Podracing. So many competitions against my father in that game.

That, and Snowboard Kids. Oh and can't forget about Goldeneye either.

Yeah, I was noticing that everyone's mentioning the same games, give or take a few. A good one I didn't mention is Spider-Man. I thought that was a really good action/adventure game.

The N64 is the very definition of my childhood, Diddy Kong Racing was my father and Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was my mother.
