Gleam curled her fingers, the bones inside them cracking as she moved over towards him. Her eyes glowed with murderous intent, a look he was so familiar with and that he'd been expecting his whole life.
"You always defied me, you always amused me, but you never challenged me. You are weak, Kage. And I will not have weakness!" she screamed at him as she rushed him. Kage widened his stance and thrust forward with his hand, crackling with amber electricity. She sneered at him and grabbed his arm by the wrist just like before, yanking him to the side and throwing him off balance before the other hand wrapped around his throat. Holding him down against the ground she pressed all her weight on his throat, crushing the life out of him.
Kage struggled to breathe on the ground while the weight of the massive drider set upon his throat. There was no chance of it this time. His arm was pinned by her hand, but only that one arm. The electricity fizzled out in that hand but suddenly sparked to life in his other as he thrust his palm up against the spiders underbelly. Gleams sneer grew as she let him go, leaping away from him. All eight legs were able to throw her body back a ways, landing firmly but upright, hesitating to advance on him as he got up.
Rolling quickly back onto his feet again, he clutched his throat with his dispelled hand. Coughing as he drew breath he kept his eyes on her. Right now she was all that mattered as he held his kido hand outwards to the side, his fingers spread and curled like a rake.
"You *****" Kage spat out in a horse voice, "Ever since I got you you've tormented me. You turned my dreams to nightmares, you goaded me into violence for your own amusement, you threatened my life on a daily basis, and now you finally come for me."
Letting go of his throat he charged his other hand with hado #11 as well, and spread his stance, lowering his center of gravity as he readied himself.
"My life is NOT yours, Gleam!" he yelled at her, "I will NOT submit to you! Five years, Gleam, Five years. Five years ends today!"
Gleams sneer turned into pure malice as she swept her arm through the air. Her bladed staff materialized out of nothingness and hung in the air for a moment before she grabbed it.
"You insect! Ungrateful, defiant, repugnant, I never liked you. I should have killed you as soon as you grasped me. You've been a constant annoyance with your weakness, your lack of resolve, and unappreciation of having me as your spirit. I'm going to end you now, KageNeko!" She called out as she lifted her staff over her head like a club.
"No." Kage said flatly. The hado disappeared off his hands as he brought them together.
"Eight points of contention! Spiders Dance!!! Web of the Forked Bolt!!!" Kage yelled out as he vanished from the spot. His energy reserves were so low he didn't know he could pull this off, but he didn't have any choice at this point. She had him on strength, she had him on reach, but he had her on speed. He had to make it work.
First shunpo put him directly behind her. Throwing his hands apart the first hainawa shattered the ground as it anchored while the other end grabbed her bladed staff. Gleams shock was apparent as it was grabbed, unable to swing it down again, but it didn't matter that much to her. Striking out with her back leg at him, Kage had just enough time to move, flash stepping to her front. The second hainawa passed her waist, anchoring to the ground in front of her as it grabbed the first hainawa. He stepped again to her left and cast the third hainawa, binding one of her spider legs to the second kido rope before he stepped to her right. Gleam looked around franticly trying to keep track of him. She never let go of her staff, using her legs to spear out in all directions in an attempt to catch him before he jumped again, but to no avail.
Forth hainaway bound two of her legs together, his next shunpo put him behind her again to the left. Fifth hainawa grabbed the fouth and anchored it to her abdomen before he stepped to her front right. He cast the kido rope at her arm and anchored it to the ground before stepped to her front left, snaring her other arm. Both ropes tightened and wretched the staff from her fingers. As she cried out in her anger and frustration Kage leapt up and grabbed the staff by where the kido bound it, using the blunt end and taking a full swing at her head. The staff gave a loud *crack* as it struck her skull ruthlessly making her cries shift to shrill shrieks of pain as she stumbled. From over her shoulder he stabbed the staff into the ground and then jumped again. It was time for the last rope.
He stood there to her back right breathing heavily. His spiritual energy was gone, but he had to do this. Pulling together all the reishi around him and everything he had left inside.
"Bakudo #4! Hainawa: The Crawling Rope!" Kage yelled out at her as she fought against them. Two of the bakudo snapped like twine as she pulled against them. She was not going to be held for long. Kage hands glowed with golden energy, gathering into points at each of his fingers, just like with his hado.
"Hainawa Ame! Rain of the Jumping Spiders Thread!" Kage shouted out before leaping high into the air, boosted by the last of his reishi. He crossed his arms as he shot up into the air, waiting for the right moment as he looked down at her. He flung his arms out to the side as he released the bakudo, five golden ropes of reishi flying out into the air like silk threads floating in the wind. Kage brought his arms down and cracked them like whips before all ten drove themselves into the ground in a circle around Gleams body. Once they were anchored Kage threw his arms to the side, twisting his body around and spinning the bakudos into a net over her. Bringing his hands together all the points in his hands bound together into a thick rope as he fell, landing hard on the ground and dropping to his knees.
"Hah...h-hah......hah..." Kaga panted, struggling to breathe. He dropped the rope on the ground as Gleam shrieked and struggled in the spiraled net. The more she struggled the more the bakudo bound her while Kage picked himself up. Dragging his feet along the ground he kept his eyes on her, meeting her own as she sneered at him. Bound as she was, she wasn't giving up anymore than he was.
"Kage, look at you. You have nothing left." She spat at him, "You are nothing."
Baring his teeth, he struggled to lift his arm up. Across his hand, small amber bolts of electricity arced across his fingers and his palm as he attempted to use hado #11.
"I...told...you..." Kage said between breathes, "...I'm...taking...you...with..."
Gleam fought against the bindings, much stronger now that there were more of them. Her arms still bound, her legs caught in the net, a flash of fear passed her eyes as he reached forward out at her. The power still crackling over his hand, she could do nothing but brace herself for his final strike.
"Leopard runs...along the...tree...stone...skips...over pond...Ha-hado...#11...ts...ts-tsuzuri...raiden..." Kage said out loud just before he pressed his hand against her bare skinned belly. The lightning cracked and fizzled out unsuccessfully before he slumped forward against her, his feet sliding backwards in the dirt before he collapsed on the ground in front of her.
"Tsk...stupid shinigami. You used up all your spiritual energy." she said with a sneer as she pulled against the hainawa net to no avail, "And now you're unconscious. You're not even a snack now and you aren't here to let me out of this." she said before closing her eyes and giving up the fight.
"Hmph, you're stronger than you look, though for an insect, that's not saying much." She complimented, though the words rose in her throat like bile.
