"Yes sir." Brandon said saluting Brad. A TV station huh, what is it with Hollows and inhabiting modern areas? He wondered before turning to Jason, "Well time a wasting." He said as he dashed off towards the direction Brad had pointed.

The school should have a fair amount of humans in that area. This could be a chance to not only investigate the area, but also to investigate the people in this small town. Abhiryu looks for Ken, he hasn't payed a lot of attention to Ken. Even though they are both on the same squad. He shouldn't cause any problems or have to be handled since he does know the way Squad Eleven do things.

"I can't seem to find Ken so I'll just leave now, I'm sure someone can tell him what's up when you see him."

Abhiryu heads to the directions he was given.

Kage stood and listened as Brad divided up the team. It made more sense. They all seemed to be capable shinigami, and shinigami NEVER acted as a group as large as they were now. Everything about this mission seemed on from the day he was told about it. Already they'd felled a hollow trap, and Kage had been forced to take out one of their own. He didn't question his orders though, but he couldn't help be curious either as to why this mission was so far out of the norm.

"Kage, you and Evela will go to the docks" he heard Brad say. Looking around for a moment, he cursed his memory. He could still remember everything from his previous life, but when it came to names and faces he was a complete and abject failure.

"Evela...Evela...which one was that again?" he asked himself, looking around the room. He didn't know any of their names short of Brad and Kyuusuko, the latter of which wasn't relevant anymore. Finally though, he broke down and turned to Brad.

"Okay, which one was Evela?" he asked, a sincere tone under his voice. There was no way he was figuring it out on his own.

"Evela is right...Where is Evela?" Brad asked as well. Looking around the room, several members were missing. Ken was already gone, Kyuusuko and Evela never came back. His eyes turned back to Kage.

"Okay, he's the one with one sleeve and the music note on his left shoulder. He's also got the really fancy zanpakuto. Where he is, I don't know but find him first, then go to the docks, got it?"

Kage nodded. His orders were clear, he'd carry them out. Rather than look for him directly though, he opted for kido. He walked outside and knelt down outside the door. No one else could see him...at least he hoped. There were humans that were sensitive enough to see people like him and hollows, but they were so rare it didn't seem worth worrying about.

He drew a circle in the dirt, swiftly and quickly just as he'd always done. He'd done it so much it was almost second nature by now. "Heart of the south, Eye of the north, Finger of the west, Foot of the east. Arrive with the wind and depart with the rain." he spoke as his reishi rose around him. Blue tinted points of light spiraled around his body before streaking off in all directions while half of them remained behind and settled onto the circle. Like last night, most of them were blue and covered most of the the circle, but more red popped up this time. Most were around him, the others back in uraharas shop. There were three that were outside the shop. One was close, the shinigami that had just left for the school. Another one was moving extremely quickly though, streaking across the circle.

"Is that him? No, that can't be. Moving that fast, he's either got to be flying or flash stepping. But..." his mind trailed off to one of the things Soifon had taught him.

"Shunpo, or Flash Stepping, is a very fast way to move. It requires a great deal of spiritual energy, but the uses for this kido are infinite. You can use it out of battle to cover great distances, or in battle to out step your opponent. But something even more interesting is this: When using shunpo, you will be able to move fast enough to elude almost any hostiles. You'll move faster than their eyes can see, and faster than any kido can move. Because of this, shunpo is an excellent escape tool. Practice it often. Pick a set route and try to lessen the number of steps you use each time. Master this kido, and you'll be guarunteed a seat in Squad 2."

"If that's true though", Kage thought to himself, "Then that can't be Evela, which means it's got to be that squad 11 guy that can't do it. But damn, as fast as he moves, he almost doesn't need it." Looking at the kido circle again, that left just one point. It wasn't moving, and still out in the field, but it was there. There was always the possibility that one of them had fallen to the hollows, and no one had bothered to do a head count once they got back to the shop, so why he was out there was anyones guess.

Wiping away the circle and banishing the kido spell, he stood up and brushed his legs off. Fixing the sword in his sash he leapt up into the air onto the roof. The sun was already high. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about it being too hot. Being dead wasn't all bad, afterall, the dead don't sweat. Recalling the direction he'd been pointed in, he calculated the distance in his head.

"Okay, I'd say...9 steps easy. Let's see if I can do 8." he said to himself, and the vanished without a trace.

Only a couple moments later, he came upon Evela sleeping in the shade of a house. Why he was here was anyones guess, but coming upon him like this reminded him of how he came upon Kyuusuko. Shaking his head though, he put the thought from his mind. I can't keep thinking about him. It's done, move on.

Taking a deep breath he walked over to him. Left sleeve missing to the elbow, music note on his shoulder, this was him. Reaching down he grabbed the sleeping soul reaper by the shoulder and gave him a bit of a shake.

"Hey, time to wake up, sleeping beauty. Got work to do, come on."

Aoshi had caught the tail end of Brad's speech as he walked back into the shoten from his morning exercise. Never hurts to work a little and with the way this mission is shaping up I can't afford to be rusty. Just wish I had a sparring party to practice zanjutsu with. Making his over to Brad, he noticed they were absent one member as everyone was taking off but decided to shelve that information for later. "So Brad what's the plan of action then? Search the hospital area block by block?"

Jason nodded, sprinting off behind Brandon. Jason's eyes darted back and forth between buildings, watching for any Hollow's that weren't killed earlier. His zanpakuto swung loosely from his side, but he didn't let that distract him. While they had waited in Urahara's shop, visions of Jason's released Zanpakuto had flashed through his head. He had been drowsy, and the wounds didn't help much either. He had flat-out refused any kid of treatment besides his own, and he was somewhat regretting his decision now.

He let his mind drift away from what was in front of him, and let it drift back to the visions in Urahara's shop. He had seen his Zanpakuto before, but something about this time seemed unnerving about these visions. Jason shrugged it off, almost having tripped on the corner of a curb.

"Hey, Brandon! I'm going to push on ahead, catch up when you can!" Jason called, jumping up from the street and onto a nearby rooftop. He then continued ahead his eyes wide open for any Hollow's that might appear.

"More or less, we are to search the area for anything strange." Brad said, looking over at Aoshi.

"Comeon, lets head out." He said, steping out of the shop and making his way back to the hospital.

Ken sensed something from the direction of the school as he flew in the opposite direction. Once Ken was in the air it wasn't easy for him to stop. To resolve this Ken held out his arm and fired waves of air in the opposite direction that he was flying to slow himself down. This slowed Ken down enough for him to fall gracefully to the streets below. Ken landed on the sidewalk with a light thud, sending dust flying up around him within a two meter radius. This startled some pedestrians but they merely ignored it as the wind because Ken was dead.

"Aww man, why didn't I sense this earlier!? Now I have to fly all the way back! This blows!" Ken complained as he prepared to Wind Jump back to the high school. "Well. Lets fly Ryukiba!!!" Ken yelled as he released his Wind Jump and soared back over the city.

What the hell am I sensing? This isn't normal Reishi.

Ken landed on top of the school building and promptly located the source of the Reishi. There were two boys and a girl next to the massive air conditioning unit. The boys must have cornered her up here.

"Hehehe. You picked the wrong day to skip class to come up here!" One of the boy's said. He was tall, fairly muscular, wearing the school uniform.

"Get away from me you slime ball!" Cried the girl as she slammed her hand into the side of the boy's face.

"Oh come on Kari! We just wanna little peek! No one would know!" The second boy cooed as he pinned her arms to the air conditioning unit. This boy was shorter than the other, definetly more round and wearing glasses.

"Ow! That hurt Kari! You're gonna pay for that! You're gonna pay big time! Hahaha!" Cackled the tall boy as he slipped his hand down kari's dress.

"No no no no NO! AUUUGH!!!" Kari Moaned as she tried to resist the boys. She let out a cry that was drowned out by the roar of the A/C unit. She tilted her head to the side and tears streamed down her face. She saw Ken standing there, watching the whole scene play out. "Hey! Help me! Plea-he he heeassss!" Kari Cried out to Ken.

"Who are you talking to? Hehehe. We're the only ones here!" Laughed the short boy.

She can see me!? Well then I guess i could comply with her wish,

"Hold still miss, this will only take a sec!" Ken told Kari. "RYUKIBA!" Ken's Zanpakto grew to its normal size as Ken walked over to the two boys that were molesting the poor girl. They couldn't see Ken, so they had no idea what they were in for. Ken stopped directly behind the assailants and yelled. "FORE!" Ken swung his right leg back and kicked the fat boy in his testes.

The fat one cried out and doubled over in pain. This was an understatement to the amount of pain that was about to be shared with the other boy.

"Hey Dude! what happen-AAAUUUGH!" the tall one cried out as his testes were pulverized by ken's sonic kick.

Both of the boys lay on the ground, clutching their groins. Ken was sure to step on them as he walked over to the girl.

"Sorry about that. I didn't know you could see me!. Are you alright?" Ken asked.

Kari pulled her dress back up and faced Ken. "Yeah, I'm a bit shaken up, but i'm okay...Who are you?" Asked Kari as she kicked both of the boys in the stomachs.

"I'm Ken, I'm a Shinigami from the Soul Society, and this is my Zanpakto: Ryukiba! And you are?" Ken replied to her.

"I'm Kari, just a normal high school girl who decided to cut class."

"Well, you certainly aren't normal."

"What do you mean?"

"Shinigami are supposed to be invisible to you humans. Only people with really high Spiritual Pressure can see us. Which makes you VERY special."

"Spiritual pressure? Soul Society? Shinigami? This is all a bit much for me to take in."

"Its alright, you're actually the first human to learn of our existance. Here, let me take you to someone who can expain things easier. I'm no good at this sort of thing."

"Take me where!? How!?"

"Well, come here and I will show you." Ken extended his hand to the high school girl.

Kari was hesitant at first, but a part of her felt like she could trust this person. She walked over and took Ken's hand.

"One sec." Ken used his free hand to dial brad's number into his cell phone. "Yo Brad! I found something very interesting. Meet me back at Urahara's shop in three minutes!" Ken closed the phoned and put it back into his pocket. "Are you ready?"

Kari hesitated again for a moment, but she quickly nodded her head.

"Okay!" Ken bent down and swept Kari off her feet. "Hang on tight!" Ken held her tightly in his arms. Ken prepared his Wind Jump and blasted off the roof in the direction of the shop.

"HOLY SHIIIIIIIT!!!" Flying was a new experience to kari so she naturally clung to ken for her life.

After flying for three minutes, Ken and Kari landed softly in front of the shop. "How was that? Fun no?"

Kari was still clinging to ken's robes even though she knew she was on ground. She finally let go and answered Ken. "I didn't expect to be FLYING of all things! No! It wasn't fun! I was scared out of my mind you asswipe!" Kari Punched Ken in the chest but only hurt her hand. "Owch!" Kari yelped as she held her bruised hand. "Where are we anyways?"

"We are at our base of operations! our Headquarters! The Urahara Shop!." Ken explained to her. "Now where is Brad..."

Aoshi shunpoed from rooftop to rooftop as he and Brad made their way over to the hospital. Noticing the damage, he shook his head before thinking, If they could only see the monsters we had to fight to keep them from being hurt than wouldn't be so worried about the damage. I wonder how much it'll cost them to get it fixed? Hearing Brad's cellphone go off, he paused on the roof and waited for the information to be relayed. It's not like many people actually have that line...

As he felt his cell go off, he read what hte messgae said.

"... Oh ken... dont bring humans to the hideout..." Brad facepalmed

Evela jolted out of his dream, humming the melody still. He shoot up quickly and his hand went to his zanpakuto. He almost pulled it out, before realising it was another Shinigami. He yawned and laid back down.

"Why the hell did you wake me up? Are we going somewhere?" he asked, kinda hoping he didn't have to do much, he needed to write that song down somewhere, before he lost it.

Standing back up now that the other shinigami was back in the world of the almost-living, Kage folded his arms while he looked down at him.

"We are going somewhere. New orders. If you'd come back to the shop like the message on your phone said, you'd have known that. Brad split us up into groups, you're with me. He's got us looking all over the city for possible sources that might attract hollows. You're so lucky even that we're heading down to the docks, so come on. Up and at 'em." Kage said, nudging him with his leg.

He gave the shinigami a chance to respond before he turned on the spot and walked away.

"Just catch up when you can." he said before he flash stepped away and vanished from sight.

Four steps later and the blink of an eye, Kage had already cleared the distance from the sleeping shinigami to the docks. Stopping at the last step, his body remained up on one leg, teetering on the fine line of intertia and entropy. Looking around him, the view was wonderful. HIs shunpo was perfect, stopping right out on the edge of a concrete peir. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze and the water rose and fell with it. Sparkling like a sea of tiny, glittering diamonds that stretched out as far as he could see over a moving blue velvet carpet, for the first time since leaving the soul society he really felt at peace.

"So this is it, but what am I here for?" Kage said to himself, looking around. He also checked back behind himself, but the other shinigami was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he couldn't keep up, or maybe he just went back to sleep. Either way, Kage shook his head and gave a sigh.

"Guess it's just me then." he said and looked back out over the water. Nothing felt out of the ordinary here. No high amounts of reishi in the air, nothing that really felt bad. All in all, this seemed like a bit of a waste of time. But this was where he was sent, so this is where he had to be.

Walking up and down the dock, he took in his surroundings. There wasn't a large amount of activity here. This town wasn't the industrial type, and the pier wasn't big enough to handle large ships. It was merely here for the occasional boat going out on the bay. There wasn't even much of a beach to speak of. The city had encroached on the waterfront and developed nearly all the land with man-made barriers holded back the water instead of an actual shoreline. Turning around at the beginning of the dock, he walked back out, letting his fingers graze over the tops of the posts that kept the dock up out of the water. Once at the end though, he looked down with curiosity.

"Hmm, water..." he said, looking down at his own skewed reflection, "I wonder...it works in the air, so would it..." he pondered to himself. Debating on whether or not he really wanted to try this, he felt that he didn't have anything to lose. He raised his spiritual energy and gathered reishi from the air around him. He'd often used this technique to suspend himself in the air, so this couldn't be much different. Focusing over the water and under his own feet, he took a step off the dock onto the water.

It was weird, at first. The reishi under his feet didn't conform to the surface of the water, but rather stacked clumsily on top of it. Every so often a large wave would wash over it and soak his foot, each time nearly making him lose his focus and only saving himself at the last minute. After a bit though, he got the hang of it, and was soon walking, albeit slowly, across the surface of the water.

"Heh, not hard at all." Kage said to himself, stopping and standing tall. Looking back, he'd walked a fair distance away, so it was worth feeling proud of himself for accomplishing. Though that sense was interupted as a small sensation washed over him. He knew what it was instantly, and his blood ran cold. Reishi, and it wasn't his. It didn't even feel...human. But it did, kinda, like an echo of a sound. Looking aroud him though, there was nothing for miles except back on shore. Reaching into his robes, he grabbed his zanpakuto. While part of that echo felt human, the other part was definitly hollow.

"Where are you..." Kage said under his breath. He tried to focus his ears to hear sharper, his eyes to see farther, but nothing he did gave him any more. Just the warm feel of the sun on his black robes, and the cool water licking his feet. A sudden thought though entered his head. Underwater.

Drawing his zanpakuto and striking without second thought, he pushed back off the surface of the water as he swung low. The tip of his blade split the water in front of him, sending up a cresent of tiny droplets that glistened in the sun. He landed on the water, stumbling as he recovered his balance and stabilized his reishi, waiting for the hollow to come. But oddly enough, there was no hollow. Floating in the water and bobbing with the waves was nothing but a peice of cloth, now cleanly cut in half and overlapping as the wet fabric clung to its new partner.

"What is...this?" he said as he walked forward and leaned over, picking it up out of the water. The cloth felt heavy, and not just in its physical weight. The scrap of fabric was heavy with reishi, infused, saturated with it. As it laid flat in his hand, the shredded and unraveled edges spoke clearly to him.

A human wore this. A peice of red cloth couldn't come from a hollow. From the reishi infused in it, the human had great spiritual power, tremendous even. How no one felt it was anyones guess, but this much raw power was something he expected from squad 11. The way the fabric was torn, it was clear a hollow had gotten to him first though. The other reishi he felt, the cold one. A human with that much spiitual power was a gormet feast, and some time last night, a hollow, probably one of those that came for the hollow bait, ate very well.

Kage closed his fingers around it. He couldn't let himself feel for this human. There were many humans in the world, one more would not upset the balance. Still though, that human probably had a family, maybe children. Squeezing it tight in his hand, the water dribbled out from between his fingers and ran off his hand, falling back into the bay. After most of it was out he started back towards the shop.

Using his shunpo over water was a bit harder, but he managed. While ground was easy to push off of, water was much more noticable. Kage was gone in the blink of an eye, leaving behind only a small splash like that of a jumping fish.

Brandon landed on the roof of the TV station right behind Jason. "Hmm not much of a building is it? Oh well who knows what could be hidin in this place?" Brandon asked Jason as he put a hand on his sword. "Kay how you wanna do this? Split up and we each take a half of the building or you wanna go as a team?"

Ken was beginning to become impatient, pacing frantically around the shop while Kari sat on the porch of the shop.

"Hey Ken! How much longer until this guy shows up!? My Parents are gonna start worrying if I'm not home soon!" Kari whined as she sat.

"Ugh, that's it. If there is one competent person in this group its Kage." Ken groaned as he whipped out his phone and dialed Kage's phone...

" Are there really more like him? " Kari thought as she watched ken pace about.

The world blurred by in a flash of light. Using shunpo was...different, to say the least. Even the sharpest eyes couldn't keep up with that speed. It required the highest mental clarity to maintain a sixth sense of spatial placement and high spiritual senses which explained why that squad 11 guy couldn't do it. Finesse and technique weren't exactly their strong suit.

The world came back into the view for just a split second as the balls of his feet came into contact with the roof of a building. Three steps so far, four more to the shop. At that exact moment though, his phone started to ring, quietly with a nearly ultrasonic tone. It had to be that high pitch in order to carry it. If it rang out, it could give him away.

Rather than taking his next flash step, he stopped right there on the spot. Pulling the phone out of his pocket he pressed the call button and held it to his ear.

"Yes?" he said, not identifying himself or where he was. He recognised the voice though. it was that squad 11 guy. How ironic...

"Why did you bring a human to the shop?" he asked, already feeling frustrated, "So just use a memory eraser thing? No, I didn't bring one, Urahara should have one, it's a shop for shinigami."

Rubbing the bridge of his nose with his free hand, he could feel Gleams amusement in the back of his head. He glared down at his zanpakuto.

"Shut up, you're not helping." he said sharply before closing his eyes tightly, "No, I didn't mean you. Look, just take her back whereever you found her. We can't just go around picking up humans." he said. Shaking his head he finally had enough though.

"Okay okay okay, look. Just...don't do anything. I'll be there in a few moments." he said before ending the call. Dropping the phone back in his pocket, he looked up and around the sky. Gleam was speaking in his head.

"No, I'm looking for a hell butterfly. Wishful thinking..." he said under his breath before gathering reishi around him. The next moment he was gone.

"Memory Eraser thing?...Look, Her spiritual pressure is off the chart! With a little push she could be more powerful than me!.....Okay, we'll discuss this when you get here." *Klick* Ken put his phone back in his robes and walked over to Kari. "Okay, one of our team is on their way. He will be here within the next few seconds."

"Well, he better hurry, I don't have much time left!" Kari scolded him.

"Kari... Here, let me show you something." Ken sat down next to her. He picked up a pebble and held it in his hand. "You have a powerful spiritual pressure inside of you. So powerful that there is nothing you can't do if you harness it."

"Really? I have power inside ME!?" Kari exclaimed.

"Yes. Now, to gain control over that power, you must first learn to focus it. Take this pebble for instance." Ken focused on lifting the stone for a mere moment and the pebble lifted about a foot out of his hand and hung in the air. "In order to focus your power you must clear your mind of all doubt and call out to the force within you. If you call, it will answer."

"How will I know if it answers?" Kari asked as she stared at the floating rock.

"You will know, now, I want you to focus all of your might into making this pebble move." Ken handed the pebble to Kari. "If you can make that pebble move within the next hour. I will give you something Special."

"Something Special? Like what?" Kari asked quite puzzled.

"I'll tell you after you can make the pebble move."

Kari didn't quite understand but she tried to do what ken told her...

A moment later, true to his word, Kages fourth step placed him just outside the shop. Already he could feel the power inside, but it wasn't like anything he was used to. Unlike Soifon's or the other captains, this wasn't a crushing power, something more latent and calm.

Pushing the door open though, he saw the other shinigami and the human girl. And already he didn't look pleased.

"...right, I see what's going on here. You, whatever your name is, can I have a word?" Kage asked rhetoricly. He grabbed the squad 11 reaper by the arm and dragged him across the floor with a strength that seemed betraying of someone his size and stature, though the air was thick with his own reishi augmenting his power.

"Just what are you doing?" he asked once they were in the back and away from eavesdropping ears, "Are you trying to create another quincy yourself? There's no reason that she needs to know any of this. Yes, I can feel the spiritual pressure around her, she has great power. I'm sure that when she gets to the soul society she'll be a great shinigami. But right now she's a HUMAN!" Kage said loudly while he still held his arm, "Take her back where you found her and leave her there."

Kage finally let go of his arm roughly, clearly in a bad mood after finding a human in the shop and a shinigami trying to make her into a living soul reaper. After what had just gone on in the soul society with the interlopers though, he should have known better.
