It is kinda annoying that the females, with the exception of Soifon and Yoruichi (naturally, the lesbian and the black chick) are almost universally second and third-rate fighters. I mean, I can forgive Momo. I know what she's supposed to be. Orihime would be quite literally game-breakingly powerful if she ever used her powers to the fullest, so she sort of gets a pass. Some of the others are inexcusable though.Leoofmoon said:The female characters of bleach i REALLY I'm starting to hate. There mainly weak fighters or sex objects for the Kids. All of the hero's of the show ether are VARY weak at fighting or wear the sluttish outfits to show off there butt or boobs.
The Villeins ware skimpy outfits but there muuuch better at fighting thus there better characters I don't mind fan service but in the context of a person don't make them a main character (and Bleach has f***ing plenty!)) A weak fighter and a sex object.
And no fans of the show yell at me about the black ninja girl or Rukia(the only one i like) Yeah there good fighters but the ninja girl is a SEX OBJECTx100.
(also having a bad guy that's a 10 year old girl just barely having enuf leather on to cover her "nautey bits" its sick)
One last thing this ISNT a flame thread you fanboys! I just really got sick of seeing this
Don't forget chad, and the guy with glasses who for some reason I can't remember his name despite being my favorite character in bleach next to Kon. What? I like a perverted plushy lion.evilneko said:It is kinda annoying that the females, with the exception of Soifon and Yoruichi (naturally, the lesbian and the black chick) are almost universally second and third-rate fighters. What I want is to see Yachiru really fight. It's implied she's quite the little powerhouse. She's Kenpachi's lieutenant and she scares people off with her aura alone.
Then again on the men's side you have losers like Hitsugaya (Captain Scrub) and Renji. They got a little better over time though.
Oh right Nel, how the hell does that rag cover her boobs?? ???? ?? ?? ? ? ?? ?Trezu said:Ninja but you forgot to metion Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck she is the bestThe_Blue_Rider said:Hey Yoruichi is pretty badass, so is Soifon. Orihime too but its the fact that she's too nice, otherwise she would be more broken than Aizen.

......
Wait a minute if Orihime's power is to uncreate or make it so that things never happened .., why doesnt she just make it so that none of the captains ever saw Aizens shikai release?
Although i suppose you could handwave that as Aizen seemed to be the only person who knew the extent of her powers.
Heh, the original Fullmetal Alchemist is probably around 50% filler.sir.rutthed said:Also: Bleach sucks. Maybe try watching something where actual story episodes aren't out numbered 3 to 1 by filler episodes. Like Fullmetal Alchemist.

Yeah, except for the fact that she used to be a cat that got turned into a hot chick for no particular reason.The_Blue_Rider said:Hey Yoruichi is pretty badass.
Yeah, it was quite cliche and filled with fanservice, but I still enjoyed the show. Not Fumoffu funny, but funny nonetheless IMO.Lilani said:They were badass, but the boobs...and the catsuit...and the creepy old man...it was all just too much for me D: For me, the show's only redeeming quality was Apachai.The_Blue_Rider said:but its sooo badass D: and the female characters are actually worth a damnLilani said:Ah, so you've finally discovered the shonen formula. Well done. Want to see some REAL fanservice? Look up Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.Leoofmoon said:-snip-
Fair point, but I don't think it's fair to call FMA filler just because it's different from the manga. There's about six episodes from the original series you can just skip over and be perfectly fine as far as the main story goes. That's my definition of filler. Now look at Bleach. Of the 200ish episodes that were out when I stopped watching it, I think I may have watched 60ish. If I myself wasn't looking up which episodes were filler and skipping them, I never would have known I was missing out on 70% of the show. To me, that's just offensive and it's why I don't watch hardly any anime to this day. Oh, and Brotherhood kicks substantial ass. I'd say it's my favorite, but I'm waiting for the rest of it to come to Netflix so I can finally finish it.Ranorak said:Heh, the original Fullmetal Alchemist is probably around 50% filler.sir.rutthed said:Also: Bleach sucks. Why? You ask,
During the production of the first series, the manga wasn't completed.
But unlike Bleach or Naruto, they decided not to do filler episodes and wait for the manga to catch up.
No, they went with Filler Episodes the whole way.
After the first encounter with Greed, the Anime takes a totally different route then the manga would.
The anime writers basicly said, we'll just finish this story our selves.
Later, when the manga WAS completed, they made Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
The series that is the same as the manga.
oh and it's also the greatest anime I've ever seen.
The fight with the big bad still brings shivers down my spine.
No love for Unohana? Considering that the likes of Rudobon (complete with a full compliment of exequias (sp)) and Aizen (backed up by Gin) all withdrew from potential fights with her and (from what I remember the filler/anime-only detail) that she apparently scares Koryaku and Ukitake - two of the most powerful captains in the whole Gotei 13 (and who barely batted an eyelid whenn they had to fight Commander Yammamoto) she's been subtly built as a frickin badass. And she has by far the least fan-servicy design.evilneko said:It is kinda annoying that the females, with the exception of Soifon and Yoruichi (naturally, the lesbian and the black chick) are almost universally second and third-rate fighters.
And Uryuu and Chad. And Ichigo himself tends to get curb stomped. A lot. Then again on the men's side you have losers like Hitsugaya (Captain Scrub) and Renji. They got a little better over time though.
*sigh* Though most of the stuff I watch contains women with realistically sized boobage, I have to agree that while they certainly exist... they are (unfortunately), exceptions to the general rule. Such as Aria... the warm and fuzzy series where the six main characters are all girls and they're certainly attractive by anime-standards, but excessive (even large) chests you will not find, thankfully.sir.rutthed said:Ya, most anime I've seen treat women in a very similar way. The only exception I know, and my favorite anime of all time in large part because of it, is Fullmetal Alchemist. Sure, Lust has 58 double E knockers, but she's the embodiment of lust. It makes sense. Hawkeye and Winrey are actually characters though, and what's more they're fantastic at what they do and have reasonably sized chests! What more could you ask for?
I've seen fanservice even worse than them and they were bad enough... what has been seen, cannot be unseen. *shiver*Scarim Coral said:If you think the fanservice is bad than you going to gore your eyes out from checking out Hightshool of the Dead, Queen Blade or Ikki Tousen.
