You're funny. Were you shaping your tinfoil hat while you typed this out?

Blizzard and Bioware are both still great. Anyone arguing otherwise hasn't been paying much attention. Bioware has probably been affected by EA, but I see no proof that Blizzard has ever been influenced by Activision.

Anyways... April Fool's is awesome. I wish more devs made fun of their fellow companies every year.

So all the new pet and mount transactions, class/race transfer transactions, etc, aren't all a part of the Activision business model? Ah good to know that it's actually Blizzard trying to milk WoW players of money instead of Activision telling them to do so.
You going to tell me idiots paying extra for something that pays for content to your game is a bad thing?

Please go through your logic.
Never said that was a bad thing, just saying that pre-Activision Blizzard had discussed that they never had any plans to do microtransaction businesses like that, and post-Activision Blizzard released all of those really quickly after the acquisition.

To be honest I can't see Bioware being anything other than a punchline for a good long while.

I am okay with this.

Bravo Blizzard. Bravo. Troll TF2 and Mass Effect (and maybe others I'm not getting right away), that's awesome.

I love it.

Like Rugby the losing team always gets the wooden spoon and beaten down. If it isnt obvious its Time to sack the coaches and start rebuilding the team so to speak.

If you think Blizzard 2012 is the same company who released Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, you're rose-colouring the world to make you happy.

Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3's terrible terrible design choices not withstanding?

The battlenet sue people over bots thing?

Yep no evidence there
The accelerated release date on Diablo 3 (Some would consider a game with a large focus on multiplayer to be incomplete without pvp.) and the increased rate of expansion releases for World of Warcraft says it to me.

With the "tens of thousands of collectible hats" and other comments they weren't just trolling EAware.
Yeah, they spoof a lot in a very short amount of time.

Blizzard isn't in my good graces, but this is still funny.

How do you respond, Bioware?!
By donating the game to charity, and then making a backhanded "we're listening" comment.

In their defense they also took a jab at Valve. However, the heavy theme of mobile spinoffs and shitty minigames did make it look as if most of their ire was aimed at Bioware.

Then again, Blizz is a company of $20 server transfers and $30 mounts. Pot calling the cattle black and all.

Can't forget the Authenticators, which ironically hackers put on WoW accounts that they steal.

Both Blizz and Bioware were once awesome and now they're pretty meh in my book.

So Starcraft 2/their most recent game didn't have bugs they haven't fixed since release/for years, bullshit mechanics that punish specialization yet force you into specialization, useless defense stats, shitty interface that apparently hasn't been updated for years and years, important information not given, lack of important and obvious gameplay mechanics that are only added a decade later (if at all), and some really bad enemy design choices?

Why yes, I have been playing (and mostly raging at) Diablo 2 a lot recently. Why do you ask?

OT: Which reply do you choose?

Now if only Blizzard could make a game I feel like playing.
Who gives a fuck both are shit companies anyway...
Lol awesome :3
>I hope no one gets in trouble for this...<
I don't get it.
And the fanboyism comes out in full rage force...

Oh god why are only the stupid colors out today goddammit April Fools why must you affect the morality scores?

Ugh, tan I guess? Although I hate that kittyface emote.

Multiple endings, each influenced by your choices and color-coded for your convenience! (Further epic endings planned for post release as downloadable content.)
Ouch!
I like the punch at Valve too with the "tens of thousands of unlockable hats!" ... lolz.

Except Valve is possibly the one company in gaming that can legitimately take a shit on ActiBlizzard any time it likes.

Of course they're different. That was ELEVEN YEARS AGO. They're 10 times as big as they were then. What the hell does that have to do with them being influenced by Activision?

They've made some business decisions designed to make the company large and successful. I was unaware that meant they were being corrupted by Acitivision... who, by the way, has absolutely no involvement within the company whatsoever. They share stocks. That's about it.
